William's all dealershipos,
No custoemr focus, arrogant, no product knowlege, bunch of greaseballs waiting to pounce at the door.

Not very many fiancing options.

Marsh/PricePoint.. not flexible with fiancing andn tries tos teeer you to 3 selections that fit your fiancing... not listening to customer.

grand Traverse auto.. is anyone workign there? No one comes to help anyone. Mostly Ford selction at used cars.

Traverse Motors.... If you like 55% interest on beat up cars.. thier your guys.. bad customer service

Warea's is probably the best of the bucn.. but has very very limited fiancing option.. like none! customer service needs help.....

Williams is by far the largest group of thieves under one roof in Traverse City. They flat-out committed fraud (signed my name to a release for an extended service contract). I left a message that I was contacting the attorney general and got my money in about 16 hours.

Absolutely right. thank you for posting this.
More people need to realize that car dealers in Traverse City are some of teh shadiest in Michigan.

Williams....worst (bait and switch all the time)and junk for inventory.

Bill Marsh & Price Point almost worst (bait and switch)... switch the deal at the last moment during time of weakness from dealing with them.

Traverse Motors... yes their cars are mostly junk.
And yes, you will pay big interest unles your creditn is 800!

Grand Traverse auto... Sticks in the Mud.. do they actually sell cars is agood statement.

Ware's....... do they also ever sell any cars? And they have no financing.. I was all set to go once for nice used Subaru, then they told me to go to "their" credit union for fiancing.. only option. And didn't get approved then they said "oh well"...

so.. I bought a car downstate outside of Detroit and paid $3,000.00 less than the asking price in TC. Where do you think I'll buy my next car? Not TC.

Thank you all and especially Sarah. You summed up the car thing in TC and the area quite clearly. A bunch of junk dealers!
And, they never keep their promises of what they advertise.

Actually, have dealt with Grand Traverse Auto quite a few times...am a Ford man. Always had great service and felt I got a good deal...but then again I have good credit and come in knowing what I want so that may make a difference

And Scott, if they did that, did you report it to the police? I would have.

This truly is a group of car dealers with noone to compete agaisnt. Captive audience.
I take my business down state and save 3,00 to 4, 000 dollars most times. Marsh "one price" is a joke.
Williams is like a bad neighbor, they are always there when you drive by and wish they would just leave.

Grant TRaverse auto is puyre ford and that makes then not very competitive.. You never klnow who is running the place...the sone-in-law or the daughters, or the guys standing around.

Ware is an odd place. Lots of cars, inventory never seems to move much and they have no financing options. Like aboe note said, the guy must have a staff of money somewhere or a trust fund.

Traverser Motors just doesn't sell. They nahve all these events at the mall and come back with 98% of the cars they took there to "blow out" during their sale. Go figure.

Most of TC's car dealers are 30 to 40% over the top.

All these guys need to make a living, and we all know how they do it.

Some are just more obvious than others.

I just bought a car from Williams and they are so shady. Very pushy to get me there, sign the papers and out the door. They talk-danced around a lot of my questions without answering them. They wanted my business "today" and promised to "hold my check" until payday - but instead, tried to cash my check before the date agreed on, and it bounced! Do you think I've had any call back? Response from them as to how they are going to make this right? I've left messages! Then, copies of the signed documents come in the mail, and there's a "Debt Cancellation Protection Addendum" document for almost $400. They Forged my signature, and tried really hard to make it look like mine, but it isn't!!!! I'm so angry and don't know what to do! It's not something we went over at the dealership! I'm afraid that if I call them, they won't answer and if they do, they will just BS me some more! I'm so sick of being taken advantage of.

When I bought a truck from Williams years ago they sold me the protection agreement and told me if I never made a claim on it then it would be refunded. Well time came for it to be up, never used, and they acted as though they had never heard tht before, and kept referring me to someone else. The business manager never returned me call. Bunch of jerks over there. They try to get you to buy the same day you go in and tell you that if you dn't get it they can't promise to hold it. I've had good experiences with Bill Marsh though.

Traverse Motors is the best. They held a car for me for 2 weeks on nothing down. I would not consider buying a car from anybody else. I found their service to be top notch as well.

Bill Marsh *sucks* TOTALLY!

I had a car towed there with a warranty guarantee for a loaner, no luck. Nothing available, they told me. They ended up shuttling me to a rental place, where I had to wait ***4*** hours for something to be returned, that I could be *pay* to rent. Never again....

Williams Honda in Traverse City
totally took advantage of us. 12 hours after signing a bad contract, we asked to stop it.
They told us we were no longer welcome on their private property and to leave. That we signed and that was it.
Thank you for the advice on the attorney generals office, I will be calling them on Monday morn.

Tuesday June 17th, 5:00pm, my son went into Williams Honda just to look at cars in the lot. He was high pressured into signing. He was take in advantage of. He did not understand the contracts, but was told he would be stupid not to take this great deal they were offering. As soon as he left he called me and told me what he had done. We contacted the dealership early Wed. morn, they gave us a major run around, we talked to most everyone there, but no one would help us undo this. They said the person we need to talk to would be in on Friday. Today Friday, we went back in again and the manager told to get out and stay off their private property.
Thank you for the idea of the attorney generals office, I will be calling them Monday morn.

I'd like to add in Northpoint Motors known as Instant car credit in Traverse City.
They sell used vehicals with shady history and if a vehical is purchased from there, you'll may have low weekly payments but the intrest rate is threw the roof.
The sales men in there are creepy vultures and the best thing I can say about them is the hellium ballons attatched to the vehicals are the
best thing about the vehical itself.

I drove from Atlanta, Michigan to Traverse City thinking that I would find a great deal on a used 4x4 small midsize SUV for my family of 5.

When I got there this is what I found:

Williams - There are several cars on our lot - all overpriced, none of the salesman would tell me a price for any of the vehicles I was looking at. They were all pushing for me to get a new KIA.
I found 1 I liked, still could get no price from them, so I left.

Bill Marsh & Price Point - All vehicles were overpriced, salesman not very welcoming at all

Traverse Motors - This place was a joke, Not 1 salesman came to me, after looking around for over 20 minutes. After going inside and finding out that they were on lunch and would help me when they were done, I said goodbye

Grand Traverse auto - Nothing there under 15,000 - Not what I was looking for.

So after driving across the state for a "deal" I ended up driving to Alpena and getting a 2000 Dodge Durango that was a ex DNR truck in Lake City.
They wanted 6800.00 for it, I paid 5000.00 out the door.

I will never waste time going to TC for a deal again
