When are they going to arrest some religious cult "leaders" who do the same thing with collection plate money?

(Most West Michigan "churches" are nothing but for profit businesses and illegal political action committees!!!)

Come on Meijer and Ginny Seyferth still claiming they have been approached for information is ridiculous....

The treasure in Acme won a judgment suit, and that information had to be furnished when he sued.

Sure more people will be coming out with information, not only in Acme, but other townships.

Acme is not the only place this has happended with Meijer.

I use to shop at WALMART but the lousy customer service and 77 min. to fill a perscription,2 hours to change a battery,ETC.....WALMART is KILLING our economy.I now shop at MEIJER. Walmart buys from smaller companys then after a year dictates a price for their product. In fear of loosing the big buisness they ceep cutting their price until they go out of buisness, then who do you think buys the buisness?MEIJER? NO WALMART!!!! then they put a bunch of low paid employees in there that can't make beans then the local WELFARE SYSTEM! pays them FOOD STAMPS and MEDACAID.So Who looses in the end? WE DO!!!!

Meijer has done the same thing and many businesses went under dut to them squeezing them until they couldn't afford it. Several even built buildins to handle Meijer business, and were left with nothing.

Don't know what welfare and food stamps have to do with this, since both Walmart and Meijer offer plenty of jobs that get people off welfare, if they can handle working there. Welfare system penalizes people who make any money, that is why they do not work.

Now what's left is to catch Wal-Mart doing the same thing. They really can go to hell, because unlike Meijer, who tries to work the law, they find ways of circumventing it altogether. Then, if they can't, they work to cater to just them.

Anyone forget how much in tax breaks Wal-Mart gets for building their stores? Sometimes, those breaks are so ridiculous, they actually earn money for the construction of a store. Then, the smaller businesses can't compete and close. I've never seen that happen with Meijer.

With that, don't bite the hand that helps feed you in the time of Michigan's economic depression, but go bite the one in the land of those hillbillies of the Ozarks.

"Meijer Corporation is responding to a possible criminal investigation that could lead to jail time"

I wonder if fond guilty, who will serve jail time, some lawyer or the person who delivered the check or money to the public relations firm. Maybe they used some grocery stock person to make the delivery, that sure is a way to cut down on overhead.

As disappointed as I have been lately shopping at the Alpine Ave Meijer with ad items and various other products being out of stock on a weekly basis despite the additional square footage recently added on to the store, I truly hope that this doesn't adversely affect Meijer Corp as a whole. I really have an affection for Meijer, and I do NOT want to resort to shopping at Wally world for many of the reasons stated above. Not only does Walmart dictate prices to their suppliers, they also dictate conditions of contracts, such as their suppliers cannot service Walmart competitors.

I know meijer has "lower prices" and "higher standards". Where's the "lower prices"? Where's the "higher standards"?? The "lower prices" are higher than most stores and "high standards" must mean rotten fruit and freezer burnt foods. And birds flying around... not to mention the wild beef that stinks and tastes nasty!

I want a Miejer on the north end of town because I don't like driving to the other end of town. I think that if acme would have just let them build then they would not be loosing their school. But like i said that is my opinion. I also think that the guy who sued Meijer is full of it. The only reason he's sueing the other place is because he wants more money. I think that he should be able to survive on 3 million dollars don't you. The meijer stores up here are ALOT better then the ones in Grand Rapids so if you haven't been up here shut your mouth and mind your own area. the only reason I don't go to meijer is because it takes my about thiry to forty-five minutes to go because we don't have a freeway up here.

Lawsuit? There was no mention of a lawsuit in this article. The article was about possible criminal charges against Meijer for illegal campaign financing.
