So, how many more of these reports do you owners need before the breed is banned. They should all be killed. Idiots.

Your a f-ing idiot. That is like saying the human races that commit the most crimes should all be killed. Its all about how you train your animal. Unfortunately many people who purchase pitbulls do so with intention of training them to be aggressive. I can buy a golden retriever and train it to be agressive and one day attack someone.

I know what you all are going to say - but the truth of the matter is it is the owners that cause these dogs to act this way, be it their lack of socialization or bad genes on the "breeder's" part. I would like to know if this was a $1000-$2000 pure bred, socialized animal from a reputable breeder, or an unsocalized animal with shaky background from a "backyard breeder" that cares nothing for the breed and just the bottom line. How else could you have "pit bulls" (in reality, American Staffordshire Terriers) that never attack and are always gentle versus crazy, dangerous animals? People who are ignorant to dogs and the steps and precautions that go into breeding say all of these animals need to be killed - but it is the bad, uneducated owners of these animals that are the problem. There needs to be restrictions on who can own these animals.

This girl will be scarred in so many different ways other than her flesh. I feel a horrible pain in my stomach everytime I hear about a family pet attacking a child. My daughter wants a dog and I don't feel easy about getting one. It's not just pitbulls, there are other breeds too. I don't feel that I am ready to make that decision. It's not just for my child, it's for others that may come in contact with the dog.

How dumb can you really be. I mean dosnt everyone know by now that pit bulls are a agressive breed of dog. For the dumb masses of people who dont know yet. guess what. PIT BULLS ARE A AGRESSIVE DOG.

I knew it was only a matter of time before the pit bull defenders came out. I bet I can get a golden retriever's jaw off me faster than a pit bull. It just isn't necessary to risk your family for one of these dogs.........

eddie, unlike humans who do serve a purpose, what purpose does a pit bull serve? Is it a service dog like a retreiver? The only purposes the dog serves is to fight or make someone feel like they are a badass. Yes, any dog can be trained to bite, and yes the owners share the blame. However you want to justify it, go right ahead. My opinion will not change.

If you are stupid enough to have a pitbull, you deserve to be attacked by it. I just wish it would have taken the dad out instead of the child.

How many times does this have to
happen? PIT BULLS DO NOT MAKE GOOD
PETS!!! I know there are those who
will defend the breed to the death,
but the fact is, this type dog is
unpredictable and when they attack,
they have teeth and jaws that lock
and won't let go!!! How many articles
have there been in the past couple
weeks about this dog attacking people, you don't hear that about
cocker spaniels or labs!! Even if
the owners feel they have wonderful
dogs that love them, you never know
what will trigger the inbred aggression to come out. Humans may
mistreat these dogs and teach them
to be mean, but even without human
intervention, this breed can "snap".
Why would anyone want a "time bomb"
like this in their house? I think
everyone needs to demand that these
dogs be outlawed, the ones out there
now could be humanely euthanised until they're all gone. I myself have
a dog and love animals but feel human
life should be considered more impor-
tant than the redneck or gangsta's
"right" to own a lethal weapon like
a pit bull.PEOPLE DESERVE PROTECTION.

Well they shouldn't have let the snot monkey around the poor dog. If my experience is anything to go by, it was probably teasing the dog unmercifully.

Hopefully the kid will leave dogs alone in the future.

It's funny how every pitbull owners says, "Oh, my dog won't bite". I'm sure this family provided a loving home to their pitbull. They're just overbred and I would never trust them at all. It's like leaving a baby with a loaded gun.

Leno had a better idea the other night...put Vick in a caged yard with 200 pit bulls and let's see how fast HE can run and for how long.........

This is BS. A friend had a well-trained, lovable pit that attacked his wife. She will never smile again due to nerve damage.
