Here come the nannies! Here come the nannies! A Historic Preservation Board is going to help with "voluntary" designations. If you believe that one, I've got $4 million to donate to the fund that was supposedly going to pay back the city. Let me tell you right now. This won't be voluntary, it won't benefit anyone except the little old lady mentality that you have to preserve your property for my property and the OneWP nightmares who think the city is about to be altered.

The current commission can't even manage a dog park and they want to stick their hand into actual business and commerce? Gimme a break!

I think it is fair to say that nonsense like this AND welfare should be eliminated from budgets and all the shortfall would be solved

The Post Office? The most hideous building in all of Winter Park? Doesn't this indicate what a complete and utter joke this designation is if they are willing to slap one on a flat roofed trip down butt ugly memory lane to 1965? When you hear the term Historic Preservation, think anti new business and pro more stifling Govt regulation. And when you hear "voluntary", know you are hearing phase one of a big snow job aimed at halting any and all change or economic growth. Their goal is nanny state control of your private property.

Why'd your guy and your commissioners give Steve 4 mil of our tax dollars? When are all those pesky and much ballyhooed pledges becoming a reality? Or is that another issue us tax paying voters really didn't understand?

BTW~ is suicide fair game for nasty posters? Surprised you didn't work the Baker Act in there somewhere. You are slipping.

Okay, I'll work in the Baker Act. For what it's worth Pete Weldon fits the criteria for one who could use a Baker act - angry, delusional, too much time on his hands...or mouth in that case.

He should do us all a favor and move to Celebration.

What has Weldon ever said/written that has been proven wrong? Is there a postion he has taken that you would like to address and we can discuss it? Truth hurts some people so they resort to childish name calling. But you do not ever disappoint in that regard.

It was classic dirty politics how your side smeared him with erroneous info during his run for city commission . I'll bet the ONEWPers are still high fiving over that when they're not A.) wringng their hands because everyone ELSE is ethically challenged, or B.) clawing each other's eyes out over the dog park. It's quite a show.

Misery? I know I'm a little off, but I LOVE this type of stuff. I get my jollies reminding people of the $4 mill bribe of the "crook." Where's the money, honey, to make the city whole? Pledges, smedges. Lots of empty rhetoric.
