THIS IS SAD WE ARE LOSING OUR YOUNG PEOPLE. EVERYONE NEEDS TO COME TOGETHER AND REALLY TRY TO GET BACK OUR CHILDREN FROM THIS LIFE OF CRIME.

Why is this not getting any attention??? Please call the Inkster police department or the local news stations to get more awareness about this case out to the public. This young man was special, please help him and his family. Are people that scared or cold-hearted to come out and talk? I refuse to believe that the community of Inkster would just shrug their shoulders and let this go unsolved. Please help!!!

I am the aunt the man that was shot, i just like to say if anyone who no anything about this just think of your own family and if this person is'nt off the street than the next time it could be someone that you care for. there is a saying that no one cares untill it happens to them. so dont be scared to say somthing we need to save or children.

Have you been to Inkster lately? Along with all other crime ridden neighborhoods there's a little thing called "code of silence", it's unbelievable and typical that nobody will come forward.

Rude? No, just honest and aware of how people function in the inner city. It's tragic that kids and teens are being murdered on a daily basis and nobody comes forward with any information.

mick... The City of Inkster is not as bad like it was 20 years ago. the cops in that town know how to get the job done... "code of silence" is bull S#it... thats in moves... they always tell someone and the right person with some balls just has to call crime stoppers with a name or a lead and the detectivs will be all over it
dont put down the city of inkster...that town has a lot of good people in it

Weeks have gone by and no leads? Code of silence is in full effect my friend. "thats its moves"? I'm sure Inkster is full of plenty of good people, too bad there are ingnorant people like you who give entire communities a bad name.

Mick you should put your crack pipe down. This happened on Saturday night. The guy or the girl involved do not live in Inkster. The girl was visiting her Aunt. The guy came at police with a knife after being asked several times to drop the knife. The officer had no choice. There is no code of silence issue here. Just your opinion. Did you ever live here?

Mick is right about the no snitch movement. I grew up in Inkster and it has pockets of both good and bad areas just like any other city. The no snitch attitude severly affects communities whether black or white. Someone knows or observed something but will not step up to do the right thing. When talking to youth I often tell them there is a difference between snitching and doing the right thing. Snitching = two people are conducting illegal activities and when one of the two are caught they cut a deal and give up information on the other person. Doing the right thing = You see a person you know break into your next door neighbors house. When the police show up you give them the information on the person who did the crime. If people in rough neighborhoods stood together against crime the criminals would get wind of it and stay out of that area. If you live in the neigborhood that has the crime problems it will eventually effect you if you don't take part trying to make a difference.

I had a niece who was murdered in her own apartment last year, the case has not been solved. I do not think the police even tried to find out what really happened. She lived in an apartment where the walls are paper thin. There was a vicious fight in her apartment. Her neighbors had to hear the struggle and to see who ran out. I think the Inkster Police Department could care less about these crimes. There is still another murder case one their books that happened about 25 to 30 years ago,(was there a code of silence then?) it's still not solved
