time out sports bar - garden city, ks

I went to time out for the first and last time on saturday night. The owner of the place needs to take control what is going on there. Apparently there are 5 bouncers that all sit at the front door and drink soda all night while the patrons in the bar beat each other up, throw their cups on the floor when they are done drinking out of them. this place is so out of control. It needs to be shut down or the owner needs to make it a place that people can go to have fun without fearing for their life. If you were in trouble and needed a bouncer the only way you can find them is because they are all sitting at the front door, they dont wear shirts to let everyone in the bar that they are the authority.
Does anyone else in town agree with me??

Shooters kicks ass - you can actually get served and the girls make sure it's a safe place to be. Kelli, the owner...doesn't put up with any bullshit-yet everybody that's a regular feels like family.

Hey I took my family in there the other nite after the Beef Empire Days Rodeo. I was VERY Impressed at the changes being made. They have a whole new crew for security, their lead bouncer was very polite. He was making all the wannabe thugs turn their hats around properly. They even turned the music down for us while we ate dinner.
I personally watched the lead bouncer diffuse a volatile situation and remove patrons from the club without incident. I will be coming back, I used to go there regularly years ago. It's time the white people take this bar back as their own. It's obvious that the new security staff is doing their jobs well. The story is around town that the new guy running the security takes no shit from anybody, and is very professional! Let's just hope the owner is smart enough to pay him well and keep him!

Barney is right, they have cleaned the place up tremendously in a short period of time.
Not nearly soon enough, the owner was very close to losing her liquor license due to lack of control.
Our hats are off to The new Security,Terry is very cooperative and courteous. Although there was an incident of a customer starting a fight with him recently in the parking lot after hours that was not that good.
He did fight the bar patron back and got a little too rough with him for a couple of our officers standards so he was fined rather expensively.
But with that said there are two of us officers who intend on going to the prosecutor and recommending they drop the charges against him and his brother who was trying to break it up, because our supervising officer was wrong in citing them, she just has a problem with the bar owner and took it out on them two gentlemen.
The patron who caused the trouble, is always in trouble, is a registered sex offender, and a known drug user. It's a prime example of the law protecting the wrong people and punishing people who are not doing anything wrong. Besides why is a registered sex offender allowed to be drinking and drugging in the bars when they are on probation and all. Honestly I can't wait to get away from the politics of this police department and move back home. One other officer and myself told the two who were cited wrongfully to file a discriminaton and harassment suit against the city. The bar ownner needs to do the same, I guarantee I will testify for them anyday! I think they are great people doing an outstanding job, they especially the new security have earned my respect. Afterall I know the types of people they have had to deal with,i.e. the damn hispanic gangs that they have removed from the situation. Good job kudos to al of you!

I so agree with you! Thank God that one of Garden City's finest has stood up for the Time Out! I am thankful that you have not been intimidated by some of the small time City politicos who believe that they can push the small businessman around.
I can remember when the Time Out was full of nothing but hispanic homos - hell you couldn't step out the back door to take a p*ss without some butt hole bandito trying to mount you. These people have cleaned that up big time.
Also thank goodness that they've gotten rid of Pierceville Pete (or the Great P P as he liked to be called). I guess that the old management believed that it was entertainment to have The Great PP stand on a pool table and shove salad, hamburgers and onion rings up his ass. Believe me, watching that once in while was okay and it was sort of interesting but a steady diet of it Monday through Saturday got old in a hurry.

The other nite I watched a black man who claimed to be from chicago, get kicked out of time out because he got caught drinking his 3.2% colt 45 in the parking lot, and was talking shit to terry, and matt! Like these guys are going to be intimidated because you are from chicago, or chihuahua, give me a fricking break.
I am a regular there because I like the ownere no matter what. I really respect the new security. I as well think the cop who made them boys get citations the other nite is a prime example of why you don't give a bull dike, woman the authority to push people around because of her badge. Somebody needs to get the telegram to publish something about the crap, along with all the positive news about the changes and the awesome people taking control. Everybody can bitch and moan, but how many of you have the balls to confront these whackos with no weapons, no badges and not back down and always win? Man I just had somebody tell me to look at this shit on here! Man am I glad I did, the cops in this town are assholes! I used to be a regular at time out but got tired of the crap. I heard Bull (Terry) was back in town and running the security there, so I went to visit with him and see the bar Saturday nite. I am really impressed with what he's done. I have known him since he was a kid. You will not find a better person anywhere. I too hope that he will stay and continue cleaning the joint up. He has brought it a long long ways, hopefully the law will back off these people, and drop the tickets against him and his brother. But you know this town, the whole gang problem can be blamed on the cops for denying there was a gang problem for way too long. Everybody needs to go to bat for Bull and his brother and help convince the cops to drop the fines and let Bull do his job, afterall if teh cops will leave him alone and let him do his job and back him up, he will make their jobs a whole lot easier. But then again some people on our police force have an alterior motive! If you like what he has done support him, not everybody will like him, but everyone will respect him for what he does and what he is!

I work at time out and i feel safer than I ever have. The security we have is the best you could ask for. Although there has been some resistence from some customers and some staff to adjust to the new changes. I don't like how so many people rush to judgement and are prejudice to the change, although I had no clue that someone was called Bull, but after seeing him in action I know why he is called Bull. I will say the last guy who ran security was a jerk. But Mr. Bull is a sweetheart! He is damn fine looking too.....anyway back to the subject at hand. Everybody is welcome here and believe me the security do their jobs, and they even like to have fun and get the customers excited notifiying them of drink specials and just encouraging the customers to get loud and have fun. Bull is the best bouncer I have ever known, plus he is the best person I have ever known! I guess maybe i am a little sweet on him too! I agree with you to the maximum extent. Yes I am a gay guy, yes I am a regular customer at Time Out AND - YES, I think Terry "Bull" is the hotest stud bouncer in the whole wide world. I can hardly take my eyes off of his "package". I don't think Bull is gay but yet he has always treated me with respect and I think he would even let me take a peek at his "sausage" if I was discreet about it.
I love what they have done to the place. I used to go out there and have to hide what I was. I felt ashamed of my sexuality and was afraid to show it, knowing that some homophobe would probably pound on me or do something else really naughty. Now I don't have to worry about that with Bull and his brother John there at all times to stick up for those of us who are not straight.
I also know that in the near future some really fab things are going to be done to the decor. I can hardly wait to see the changes that are going to take place...they will be AWESOME.
Also I'm glad that the Hispanic Homosexual 69 gang has been kicked out of the place. Although some call it racist I don't see a problem with it. These guys give a bad name to all Hispanics and to all homosexuals. Also their fashion sense was sooooo 90's.

Thank you for your open and honest response to my correspondence. Being gay I've found that many people have a difficult time telling me "how it is" because they are afraid to offend me. I guess it's reverse sexual discrimination or something like that.
As you've guessed I have a thing for "Bull" and his brother. They both cause my Levis to "tighten up". In other words I believe they are the two hottest studs - gay or straight - in Garden City.
I guess I shouldn't have said anything about taking a peak at Bull's "thang" - it's a favorite fantasy of mine. Everytime I see his package I start to really drool. This is my question.
I noticed that there was a poem (?) written by one of these Neanderthals named “Gay and Happy”(what a slime ball) in dubious honor of one of these heroes. It made me puke.
Because of this I have composed a poem that I believe honors these brave young men in the manner that they should be honored. Please accept my poetic offering below.

THE TIME OUT BOUNCER DUDE

My day is long and nasty
My night short brutal and hard
For at the doors of Time Out
I stand my solitary guard

I protect the sad and lonely
The oppressed and crippled too
For that is my sworn duty
I do my job for you

My pay is very paltry
Just enough to salt my bread
My chest is but a target
For the gangsters lead

But when you see me standing

Thank God that I’m a watching
