I hope Brandon Sluss's mom and dad feel real good about helping their son get out of jail so that he could get back on the road an take the life of a 10 year old baby. people around here need to really open their eyes and stop helping these drug heads get out of jail. If they would have let him sit in jail he might have learned his lesson and not got behind the wheel that day.
A 10 year old baby is dead because of him and his drug problem.
This should be a lesson to everyone out there that thinks it's okay to get behind the wheel and drive when your all messed up.
Just because you don't care about yourself doesn't mean you shouldn't care for others.

I agree with you. As of today all families with drug addicts in their family should abandon them and let them fend for themselves for now on. Quit bailing them out of jail!

So what you're saying is, they should have left him in jail those few extra days? He would have gotten out anyway, if anything it's worse because they had to pay a ridiculous sum of money for bail. So now the parents have guilty conscience, their son is about to spend his days been raped in prison, and their broke! There, does that make you feel better?

Do you really think they were keeping him inside forever and it was the evil parents that set this whole ordeal in motion? I mean, I'm upset a little girl lost her life to, but good lord, some of you people are pretty single minded and your anger get's the better of logic, and reason.

Poor poor Brandon. Now he might spend a whole year n jail. As for that last post, his parents may not have any money left, but they still can see their son. I would bet the parents of Destiny would give all they have to have that little girl back. If he gets raped while in jail, good. He should get raped and beaten. He took a life, and for that he should never see the light of day, but this is Martin county, and we all know he won't do more than a year for this.

I hope they give him a second chance. He is a good kid and needs to be given room to grow as a man. Leave him alone. Pray for him and his family.

He has had countless chances with DUI charges and not to mention all the other drug charges he has had. You are pathetic!!! Would you really be saying leave him alone if that was your child? He has had enough time to grow as a man and he chose to be a low life piece of crap, who doesn't care about anyone but his self. Now its time for him to pay!

i just have one thing to say and it is that they need to punish him the way he did that little girl and then leave him lay for dead because the way i see it is hey knowed better and since he was a drug head the if he was dead that would be one less we would have to worry about.

Everyone who get a dui or sells drugs always gets a second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth etc chance. The people who sell drugs get off the hook and are available to sell the drugs to the people that cause bad things to happen. Look at how many time that Newsome man got turned loose. 4 times?
Piss on this county.

You have got to be kidding!!!
Are you really saying that this person is a good person?? He chose to get in a car and drive in the condition that he was in and because of him, this child will NEVER GET THE CHANCE TO GROW INTO A WOMAN!!! that is the fact. He needs to be left alone, you are right about that. Alone with the child's mother for about 2 days!!! And yes, his parents should have to feel guilty. They got him out of jail. That could have been your child, my child or anyones family. So what if their baby is going to be bubba's b*tch..at least they can see him, ask him how he is doing, etc.. This child's family, friends and classmates are going to forever miss her. Her smile, her laughter.
My opinion, you should be right there with him. Stupidity should be a crime punishable by life in prison....IDIOT!!!
And for the record, I do not even know these people, any of them but I am a mother and how you could even allow that pile of crap in your head that you call a brain allow you to type something so stupid is an insult to the entire human race...

I think it's silly that the blame is being placed on Brandon's family. Brandon is the one to blame for his actions. Everyone keeps saying that Brandon's parents helped get him out of jail. It's not his parents that made the choice for him to be released, it's a level higher then that. The people in political power are who should be blamed for him getting released every time. They are greedy and would rather take the money rather than do what is right. SO, Brandon is to blame for his problems and the life he took over his careless actions and the people in political control are to blame for not keeping him in jail. I think his family should be left alone.

Amen on that. I hope they give him the death penalty. Thats what poor little Destiny Got. I hope he suffers the same way the baby did but for as long as he lives. God bless this family, His parents can go see him but what does Destinys family see A head stone. Now thats bullshit in my eyes

Brandon is a grown man , and now he must pay for his actions. The Martin County court system should have done a better job , but I cannot judge the Lords will. I pray for Destinys family , they must pay a dear price every day for their loss. By the way , jail does not cure an addict : it is only a school for criminals , and there are more drugs in Big Sandy Detention than there are on the streets.
