Is anything going to be done? Is the boe just going to let its HS coach Spurlock leave, after the school year has started, and take with him one of our best players? That is a despicable act for anyone, especially someone hired to guide young people. He guided them, alright. He showed them how to rob a school of its coach and player. Surely the school and its lawyer had him signed to a contract and surely the contract prohibited him from fleeing in september, just two months before the season starts, and surely, surely, surely the talks that he surely had with his best player who is going with him crossing all kinds of lines. DONT YOU THINK THE BOE OUGHT TO SUE ITS FORMER COACH FOR WHAT HE HAS DONE? I do. I think Mr. John Triplett or, if the BOE wants someone else like Eric Mills or Jeff Hinkle to do it, I think it should be done PRONTO. Otherwise, the school is a wussie and our kids pay the price.

I'm more concerned with test scores than football season. As far at the kid going with the coach, that's up to the parents not the school system. FYI, contracts can be broken, look how many the school board probably broke when it laid off 21 teachers.

The kids are so much better off with Spurlock gone. He took all the fun out of the game for them and never had a good word to say to them. I am glad he's gone.

Does this mean there won't be any NFL players coming out of SC? Dang it, we had so many. LOL Who cares if he leaves. He was just a coach, and nothing more.

Um, maybe you should take a lesson in sports abbreviations, NFL is football. NBA is basketball, which is what Spurlock coached.

Does it matter if he coached football or basketball? No. Was he going to make NBA stars at SC? No. Did anyone whine when the schools got rid of good teachers and replaced them with piss poor ones? No. I say goodbye and don't let the door hit you where the good lord split you.

You need to open your eyes and look around. Matney has had how many winning seasons at JC. He gets whatever he needs and then some. The community supports him and is in full support of the Eagles every game. The better statement is...Matney wouldn't want to come back.
