This just in.........

City of Walnut demands its streets be paved in gold by Industry.

What a joke. How does an aquatics center overcome the burden of a neighboring stadium? The Walnut City Council should have asked for straight up cash and then embezzled it into their bank accounts.

I was hoping to see the letter.

This is a strange development. Another letter to state what is already known?

The SGV Tribune states that it was supplied a copy of the letter: "Majestic provided a copy of its letter to this newspaper." Therefore the San Gabriel Valley Tribune is in possession of the letter written by John Semcken on behalf of Majestic Realty addressed to the City of Walnut.
Please print and/or display on-line the letter so the readers of the SGV Tribune as well as the residents of the City of Walnut and the surrounding area may view for themselves.
I am certain that it in not only the public interest but it would be a great service to the readers and citizens of the community to see firsthand what is transpiring in negotiations. Readers would love to depend on the SGV Tribune to be the breaking source of information in this information age! Please print and/or display the letter. Thanks!

I agree completely. Nothing should be held back. We all have a right to know what's going on. I don't think that Walnut should have the right to hold back information. It should all be made public. What are they trying to hide?

Isn't this a rehash of the same Semcken drivel from about a month ago. I guess they are disappointed that Walnut didn't settle out for next to nothing like Diamond Bar's council did. What a bunch of scurrilous low lifs (Semcken et. al.)

How dare ED ROSKI & Majestic Realty INSULT the Residents & Community of Walnut as well as the elected City Council Members of City of Walnut. Publicly and harshly reading an offensive letter that insults not just the negotiating Legal Team and City Council Members but ATTACKS the residents of Walnut. Let me repeat this. ED ROSKI & Majestic Realty IS PUBLICLY ATTACKING AND HUMILIATING THE RESIDENTS OF WALNUT.
This is not just some theatrical public posturing of negotiating positions. Polite discourse exchanged both in private and public negotiations define character and discretion. "MAJESTIC REP BLASTS WALNUT.." as the SGV Tribune characterized the attack, clearly demonstrates and displays ED ROSKI's dismissive arrogance towards the concerns of the residents of Walnut.
Let's examine a few issues to display this Mr. Roski's arrogance. DIAMOND BAR gets $20 MILLION Settlement. 1.) Investments in a City of Diamond Bar Fund that offsets Game-Day costs.- INVESTMENTS?? Just Game-Day Costs??? What about other events etc.?? 2.)$1 MILLION for ATHLETIC FIELD. Gosh how is a athletic field relevant to offset "STADIUM" related problems. 3.) Former Honda Dealership site: Golly wonder how much Roski paid the single most premium patch of real estate as traffic exits the stadium. Wonder how many millions Roski will make on premium leases to Gas Stations & Fast Food outlets as Stadium traffic leaves. Furthermore does ED ROSKI and MAJESTIC have family and relatives that may directly or indirectly benefit. SGV Tribune - Do you have any investigative reporters who examined how slickly Diamond Bar was greased both publicly and privately as well as if any Campaign and PAC money may be involved. Perhaps the SGV
Tribune also has a great deal to benefit if ED ROSKI get his football team and may benefit. Ya' Think!
Now lets examine Walnut's publicly blasted "demands." 1. Meadow Pass Road Extension.- completing an alternate road to Grand. Golly Mr. Roski won't that keep local residents off Grand thereby reducing Stadium traffic. 2. Pedestrian Bridge at Mt. SAC - Gee whiz that allows traffic to pass by faster since the busy STADIUM TRAFFIC won't have to wait for students to cross the roads. 3. Relocating Metro-link Brea Canyon Station. Another STADIUM TRAFFIC issue. 4. Improvements to 7 intersections. Again - the residents of Walnut's greatest concern and fear - STADIUM TRAFFIC.
MR. ED ROSKI has his his proxy John Semcken smugly insults residents of Walnut by blasting simple traffic improvements. Mr. ROSKI has now made it clear: WALNUT TRAFFIC CONCERNS DUE TO THE STADIUM TRAFFIC ARE NOT ED ROSKI'S CARE OR CONCERN. Allow me to restate: MR. ROSKI INSULTS THE RESIDENTS OF WALNUT BY DISMISSING STADIUM TRAFFIC AS A PROBLEM OR CONCERN FOR RESIDENTS OF WALNUT BY PUBLICLY BLASTING THIS ISSUE.
If there is no stadium and there is no major traffic problems.
It is obvious STADIUM TRAFFIC will lead to WALNUT RESIDENT TRAFFIC PROBLEMS. Not just on GAME-DAY, ANY-DAY THAT ED ROSKI'S STADIUM HAS AN EVENT. Which is any event, not just FOOTBALL, MONSTER TRUCKS, MOTO-CROSS, CONCERTS, CONVENTIONS,etc. It is almost certain ED ROSKI will book CAR SHOWS & SWAP MEETS if he can make a buck. THE STADIUM WILL HAVE NO ZONING RESTRICTIONS as the City of Industry which FORBES.COM named "CITY OF GREED"-ED ROSKI! Just Goggle Forbes.com : "A CITY OF GREED"
Wake-Up! residents of Walnut, whether you agree or disagree with the stadium, ED ROSKI is arrogantly humiliating your elected City Council and their Legal Team's attempts to negotiate the "STADIUM TRAFFIC PROBLEMS!" Failure to speak up and support your City Council will lead to WALNUT TRAFFIC PROBLEMS due solely to ED ROSKI'S STADIUM. Don't wait till your sitting in "STADIUM EVENT TRAFFIC" while in Walnut, by then it's too late!

And once again we see the haughty citizens of Walnut complain at each and every supposed slight.

Yes we all know, you are better than everyone else, no one should criticize or insult the fine city of Walnut as it is filled with the best and the brightest of the entire nation.

Asking for an aquatic center, new park, and landscaping for Walnut street is only meant to show the proper deference to the lords and ladies of Walnut. Obviously Majestic Realty does not know who you are.

If you never lived by Mt Sac or the area, then don't try and tell about it!
Traffic by Mt Sac was and always will be bad! In fact Mt Sac has add 2 new stadiums and parking lot to the school. This has caused more traffic than ever, futhermore you sound like a city Concil member trying to line there pockets with cash! Walnut has been trying to black mail everyone involed in the project! I for one welcome the stadium, the jobs it would bring and income to the area!

You're comparing traffic from a community college stadium to the traffic that would be generated by a professional sports venue? Stop talking please, you're embarrassing yourself.

Hey schmuck. If you are in fact a citizen of Walnut, then YOU are the one who is an insult and humiliating to the City's collective intelligence. You're only using traffic as a proxy for your NIMBYism. Didn't you notice the major intersection improvements at Grand/Amar and Grand/Valley? Probably not given your cluelessness. Those improvements themselves are entirely sufficient to handle game day traffic when coupled with the intelligent traffic control system that can be programmed to efficiently move the event traffic when needed. If you are so concerned about being delayed in getting your Chick Filet sandwich, boba, McDonald's Happy Meal, or the latest sale items at Michael's on the MERE 15 OR SO WEEKEND DAYS OUT OF THE ENTIRE YEAR that a major stadium event will be held, then you need to plan out your life a little better.

They all deserve to be insulted for the greed they display. They don't even attempt to conceal it. There's nothing wrong with calling a spade an spade.

About 90% of the people I speak with about the stadium are in FAVOR of the project. Apparently, the residents have no say in the matter.

Hey Jacob,
Improve you reading comprehension.
Forbes.com defines City of Industry as the "City of Greed" Furthermore, Forbes.com practically declares Ed Roski the BIGGEST PIG in the Trough!
Jacob, Don't believe me. Just read "City of Greed" at Forbes.com and learn who is the real greedy bully. Forbes is not know for tabloid insults of successful rich billionaires. The like their name on Forbes list. However, Ed Roski, Majestic and the City of Greed/Industry earned their reputations the old fashion way. Manipulation, Intimidation, Corruption, Humiliation, and plain old spending money to get more more and to defeat anyone in their way.

Daily Horoscope for December 7

Aquarius

You're full of energy and determination right now, especially when it comes to nailing an ambition or making a name for yourself. You'll want to give it your best shot, and you'll get very annoyed if you feel your efforts are being frustrated by others. Watch out for a rather tense atmosphere with someone older or more influential than you, as this could lead to a row.
