Our View: Montebello ACE project in the cards

There are 17 comments on the Pasadena Star-News story from Jul 25, 2011, titled Our View: Montebello ACE project in the cards. In it, Pasadena Star-News reports that:

A good way to describe the Alameda Corridor East grade separation projects would be they "erase the negative." Where there were backups of cars, firetrucks and ambulances, there are roads gliding under train trestles or trains zipping over roadways.

The opinion story was straight, honest and to the point. It's about time Molinari and his crazies stop wandering in the desert and get a clue. Perhaps they cannot read let alone reason that putting the train under the ground is JUST NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. The council is going to have to vote ASAP for a project or once again, Liarliar, is going to kiss millions down the toilet and the train is going to keep on tooting its horn for years to come.

Kissing millions down the toilet is not a reason to do or not do the project.
The horn will still blow at the other crossings including the one near the school
You need to make a case on the benefits of the project versus the negatives that the No Tunnel group present so well.

Another example of Molinari's retarded thinking. He's been trying to get the money for a track lowering for 11 years now.

How's it going so far Bill??? Sell enough cookies yet? LOL!

I can't believe there are people who still believe that the ACE board would actually consider lowering the tracks. Well, i guess if people support Molinari, what can you expect...

The current discussion is not lowering the tracks- that's dead and never was reality

Is it better to do a tunnel or not and why?
Is the current discussion

Please do not change the discussion with a tierd old rant.

Try and contribute something positive.
People are looking for reasons to support a tunnel in opposition to the no tunnel folks who have their arguments written out for all to see.

Still no input from the pro tunnel proponents.
Evidently they think their position is intutivally obvious. Oh the WAst Oh the wait.
We'll "loose money".
The trains are horney and blow all night long.
The need to justify the destruction of local business and address the other issues posted by the no tunnel group.
How many minutes a month are the Paramedics impeded by the train?
HOw does the train impact fire calls?
Police calls?
Why have the advocates not been adressing these issues???
What a waste

Molinari's minions keep pushing the tunnel. What fools. Like blind leading the blind. Don't they understand. There is NO MONEY! His biggest follower, Larry the Loser, thinks he can ride this train into a council seat. Get a clue Larry, you have lost countless times before. This run is going to be "another one bites the dust" just like all the others. Well, fools never learn. They just become more foolish with age.

No time study has been done because you speak to your public safety professionals they will tell you it has a great effect on all areas of public safety response. There have been to many times to count where precious minitues have been lost in emergency medical calls sootings and a fatal fire or two. So, unless it's your familly that suffers from it well I guess it doesn't effect you directly but it drives up costs for public safety and increase morbidity and mortality.ORG

finally some relavant comments
What about the counter arguement that a tunnel would be blocked by traffic?
should a tunnel be hard divided?
What about the bogeyman about a "fire in the tunnel"?
What are the odds compared to the realy quantifable train stoppages?

ACE project is NOT in the cards unless supporters of a tunnel get their act together
