Mr. Ruiz, a few months ago, admitted to owing well over $200,000 in student loans.
He had worked several years as an ER physician (rather low on the prestige pecking order in medicine), making approximately $250,000 per year. No one forced him to go to Harvard, USC or UCLA for his training and run up these huge bills, taking advantage of the favored minority status prevalent in academia which discriminates against students who are white males, better qualified.
He could have eliminated this debt and chose not to do so, probably hoping for debt forgiveness under our current president and über-liberal gibberish emanating ffrom Washington DC.
Now he is crying poor via planted articles on the front page of the local press, ignoring his inflated salary, perks, and extremely short work week. Gosh, I guess we should all feel sorry for him due his not measuring up to the average net worth of a congressman
($4,000,000) or senator ($25,000,000).
