I'm sorry to say, but my visit to Johnstown was quite the negative experience.

First of all, Johnstown has got to be the most isolated "city" (if you can call it that) in the world. I had to drive 50 miles through rolling hills and mountains just to get to your outpost of disappointment. Once I finally arrived in what mimicked civilization, all I saw was trash. The people, the area, everything. Trash. The neighborhoods looked deserted. Many houses were abandoned. 40% the people looked ghetto. 60% of the people looked like the biggest white trash hillbillies on Earth. Everyone looked Lifeless. As if all opportunity to succeed has escaped them. This was apparent when I saw more than a few of them drinking in public. Luckily your "city" is not large so I arrived "downtown" quickly. Downtown was another disappointment, although it is the best aspect of your desolate village. Downtown was filthy, underwhelming and gave me an ominous feeling. Not sure why, but it did.

And if that wasn't enough, a friend of mine who I was with got sick in Johnstown so I had to leave within an hour of my visit. Back another 50 miles (to your twin city of Altoona which is not much better. Believe me) through the mountains. Then another hundred miles on the highway until I finally reached the outside world.

I'm sorry Johnstown, PA. You may be my least favorite city in the world.

That railroad thing that goes up the side of the mountain was kinda cool though. I guess.........

I haven't lived in Johnstown since the 80's but it still hasn't changed much at all in that time. Johnstown is what it is: an old Rust Belt City that died 30 years ago. The fact that anyone still lives there is shocking really. Why were you there anyhow?

If you're from Rochester then the only reason you hated Johnstown was because JTown doesn't have a Popeye's Chicken franchise. All you black folks in Rochester do 24/7 is eat, sleep, and dream Popeye's Fried Chicken. Here's the evidence:

Funny. Leave it to a Johnstown resident to pull the race card and make an ignorant, racist statement. I'm actually white my man, but whatever helps you sleep at night. At least my city actually has big business, fortune 500 companies, vibrant nightlife, distinct neighborhoods, culture, beautiful architecture and scenery. Have fun in your sh'tty little mountain village. Redneck idiot...

Sorry "my man" but I don't live in Johnstown but if you're white then why are you speaking in Ebonics "yo?"

Interesting Kwame. You traveled all that way and only stayed for less than an hour. That is very consistent behavior for drug dealers. Hmmmm.

Wow you people are IDOITS. I can't believe how SHELTERED and IGNORANT you people are holy sh..T. It's called growing up in an urban environment. Most of my friends were inner city Black and Hispanics of poverty growing up, so naturally I came to adopt the urban "accent" and use urban slang to this day. Pull your head out of your ass man...

Funny, I'm probably the most anti-drug person I know. I have NEVER used nor have I dealed. Me and my boy (who is a hippie) were driving to Pittsburgh and he wanted to stop at the "Flood City Music Festival." I live in New York, you really think I'm gonna drive all the way to sh'thole Johnstown to deliver a bag of weed? F''k outta here...

So you're just another Vanilla Ice wannabe who travels around the northeast dealing crack and heroin. BTW, Rochester is just another crime-ridden ghetto so stop bragging it up like it's something.

I once sat in a restaurant in Buffalo, NY, and heard two idjits from New York City knocking Buffalo, saying how it didn't compare to New York City. I could hardly keep myself from laughing out loud.

This Kwame Najo Tetteh character reminds me of them.(Notice how he lied to us by first saying he was from Rochester and then saying he lived in New York City?)

If Johnstown began electing anyone buy Demoncraps the city would have a chance of rebounding. But that will never happen as long as the welfare voters are in the majority.

Are you stoned or just retarded? I never once said I lived in New York City.

Johnstown will NEVER rebound by the way. It's a dead city. It can burn to the ground for all I care.

Rochester, NY is the largest landfill in the state of New York. Very similar to Detroit and Gary, Indiana by all appearances.

Johnstown is full of Death and Drugs. Lost my father to the bowels of hell when he visited there to run his prostitution ring and use and run "fire". Its sad to see no one from the city cares to stop this corruption. I am bitter and I couldn't agree more.

You should have visited Coney Island while in town. It would have changed your opinion drastically.
Rochester, NY is a poophole, btw...and one you drive through hours of nothingness to get to as well.

I moved to johnstown from nj a few months ago. Met some nice people but this place is a festering sh.t hole for white trash to procreate and live out their filthy, outdated, cheap as hell backwoods lifestyle. Had what seemed to be good reasons to live here but I'll be gone when the lease is up. Wtf is wrong with me, haha. I have up living 15 minutes from the ocean, 45 minutes from Atlantic City, hour from Philly, hour and a, half from downtown Manhattan, my friends, nightlife, culture, a 30% paycut to move HERE. Ewww. There's been some positives, I've made some great friends bit this place is a dump. Don't let your parents and grandparents tell you how amazing this place is, kids once you graduate, go to an out of state college, get your degree and RUN!

How can you mention the white trash of Johnstown and not address the black trash? Johnstown blacks are a bunch of backwoods hillbillies who live under the illusion that they're cool like big city blacks. They actually believe that Prospect and Kernville are "Da Hood." It's laughable. Still, Johnstown is kind of an unusual location for black folks to settle, you know, on too of a mountain in the middle of Bumfuck Egypt.

Johnstown is a petri dish where failures breed and thrive, unlike the piece of shit city they are born and die in. Thank Christ I moved to NYC. Get out while you can.
