Here's the highlight of Latrobe history in the 21st century.

"Mayor Marflak steals $68,000, from his employer, pays wife's credit cards, says he didn't do anything wrong."

Mr Baldoneri for one, is the most rude person I have ever come across. He is unprofessional at best and is NOT for the people of this town. He is for himself and the arrogant nature of his personality.I think in order to be for the people, you need to have an unbiased "personal" opinion regarding city business. If you have a vendetta against someone or a group you are not able to be fair. But then again, it's politics as usual.
Look! Ken Baldonieri is considered unprofessional? There's a surprise. Someone in prior posts wanted to 86 his ass. There's a surprise.

City Manager
A city manager oversees all aspects of the actual working of the city. This involves many different aspects such as taking policy as developed by the city committee and government and actually putting it into action in the city.
A city manager handles building projects, re-zoning issues, health and safety for citizens, developments and managing the coordination of all city services in an organized and effective way.
Most city managers have specific training in organizational and business management as well as experience working on boards, committees and with commissions.
The city manager spends a great deal of time attending various meetings and providing information to committees to allow them to make the appropriate decisions.
The city manager may also have to appear at commissions and planning meetings to provide input and information on major and minor changes that the may occur. Since the city manager often understands the ripple effect these decisions can have on the whole area their input is critical in the decision making process.
The city manager cannot possibly oversee all issues and departments even in a small community so they are responsible for appointing or hiring individuals to act as department heads within the infrastructure.
The city manager also works closely with the department managers to understand their concerns and issues and to assist the city departments in working together.
A city manager must be financially responsible with city funds and must operate the city within the given budget, or make applications for additional funds when required.
Common work activities include:
Meeting with various committees, commissions and agencies to determine the appropriate direction for city development.
Developing a city budget in consultation with other members of the city government.
Overseeing the daily operation of the city by coordination of services through various department managers and supervisors.
Meeting with department managers and supervisors to resolve problems or improve services.
Reporting to the Mayor or elected officials as required. Preparing news releases to the media or granting interviews.
Resolving conflicts and problems between the city and various outside groups and agencies.
So basically: Stadler did NOT do his job, listed above, and FINALLY got fired. And to think that he collected $77,000, a year, to do nothing!

Renee: You can't even run a single family dwelling and keep it afloat -- how in creation do you feel qualified to run a town? I'm sure you could run it into the ground quite nicely as you have done with your life!

As a taxpayer, I think I'll pass on your offer and will completely disagree with your qualifications.

Now, STFU! OINK!!!

My resume is sort of funny...but I do have a management background with a staff of up to 120-people, a budget up to $2,000,000/year, and a changing clientele of up to several hundred daily.

Then, there was that work I did as, oh well, it's just all a "fish fry" tale, anyway, right?

How's the Revitalization Program "alley clean-up" going?
What seems to me is that a lot of "funding" gets distrubted to groups that never keep anything going, and never follow-through with their promises:
-----The prime example of "pocketed" funding that never went anywhere is the Llyod Avenue "revitalization" program, where each home owner had a chance for $40,000, in a no-interest or low-interest loan or even grants; and guess who ended up getting funding? local contractors, who did nothing, and Adelpoi Village, which built some Section 8 housing.
-----That whole section of real estate should have been leveled, and the families relocated!
Christ! No one in Latrobe seems to have a memory as to what was approved, what was funded, who's in charge of what? who's getting paid to do what?
I lived away fro 25-years, and I "remember" what's going on, and I can "see" the waste, and I only came home for 3-week visits.
Now, I live here, and I can't believe the waste, and that people just accept it!
WAKE UP LATROBE!
when i was out and about today i saw some sort of sign going into town just around flex apeal that was about the revitalization project i didn't get to really read it (alot of stuff on it to pay close attention to it when driving) maybe someone else noticed it or what it read
