High electric bill for june

my electric bill this month was 554 dollars this month...I only have a 2 bedroom house and use nothing but energy saver bulbs air on 75 ...how is this possible and has anyone else had a bill this high

My bill was close to $500.00 this month also, there was a letter in my bill that they were upping the surcharge they charge us....$200.00 of my bill was for the surcharge....this is ridiculous!!!!!!

I am right there with you all. I have a $500.00 electric bill for July and $475.00 for June. I know it is hotter; however, they are charging me about $200.00 a more each month. I have Energy efficient doors and windows. I was even out of town for a week on vacation. Something is not right. What can we do?

Yes our bill was 350.00 and has NEVER been this high we live within City limits.. Is this the same for everyone?

We have EREC Escambia River co-op. I am supposed to be an owner in a co-op and my bill this month is $522. I just got laid-off so I'm not amused by this rip-off. I'm going to really have to come up with an idea to pay it or we're in trouble. How do these bastards get away with this crap? Florida has the highest utility bills I have ever experienced. If Cap and Trade goes in my bill will be close to $700.

This electric bill situation has gotten out of hand with the Vero Beach Utilities. It's terrible when you would have to choose between feeding your family or having your electric turned off! What is this world coming to?

We haven't lived here very long a little over a year we do love it, but our electric bill is always ridiculous. We even turn off the air conditioner a lot of the time and suffer and still have close to $500 a month bills. If we actually use the air, it $600-700 - can't understand. Why is it so high here?
