It's all Obummer's fault. The absolute worst (and dumbest) president in U.S. history.

I can't wait until he's impeached and his ugly wife divorces him.

If there's anything comical about this it is the fact that the Baker's union refused to compromise while the Teamster's agreed to a contract with Hostess.
With labors laws and such we should be way past the need for unions.

In 2003 Hostess started closing plants and closing thrift stores. In 2004 Hostess filed for bankruptcy. The union gave significant wage and benefit concessions which saved the company approximately 110 million dollars.

Hostess came out of bankruptcy 4 1/2 years later as a private company under the control of a private equity firm, Ripplewood Holdings and two hedge funds, Silver Point Capital and Monarch Alternative Capital.

In 2011 Hostess again demanded wage and benefit concessions. In 2012 Hostess filed again for bankruptcy and stopped paying into the pension fund. Hostess demanded an 8% wage reduction, an increase by 20% in employee cost of their health care, elimination of retiree medigap insurance and elimination of a pension supplement used to pay funeral and medical expenses.

Hostess employees decided to strike asking for their pensions back. Employees would have returned if their pensions were returned. This is a free country. They were free to strike. They were entitlted to their pensions. George W. Bush was president until January, 2009 so skip the blame on Obama and the employees decided to strike, not the union. This is what happens when a private equity firm and two hedge funds get greedy and decide to rob a pension fund, and destroy a company for profit. Steal workers' pensions and you may get a strike. You want to allow a private equity firm and two hedge funds steal your pension. You want to work for less. Go ahead. Those workers didn't.

yep and they wouldn't listen to how bad obama is going to make it on us all. A lawyer for president- what were you people thinking voting for him again. Swing state Ohio is finding software problems in the voting machines that gave obama the vote by default because of a software issue. Sounds fishy to me ......

MC Donalds Twinkies
(In the works)

2 cups all-purpose flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
10 Tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
1 cup sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/8 teaspoon almond extract (optional)
1 cup milk

Put a rack in the center of the oven and preheat oven to 350

degrees F.

Create your own Twinkie-like molds by wrapping heavy-duty aluminum

foil around a 4-inch-long spice bottle. Leave the top of the mold

open so you can pour in the batter.(For a how-to video, click

here.)

In a bowl, sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside.

Beat together butter and sugar in a large bowl with an electric

mixer at medium-high speed until pale and fluffy, about 3 minutes.

Beat in eggs one at a time, beating for 1 minute in between each

addition.

Beat in vanilla and almond extract. Reduce speed to low, add half

of the flour mixture, and beat until incorporated. Add milk and

beat until incorporated. Add the rest of the flour, and beat until

incorporated.

Spray prepared Twinkie molds with nonstick spray and divide the

batter between them. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes, or until

the cakes are just slightly golden and a pick inserted in the

center of the cakes comes out clean. Remove from the oven and let

cool completely before filling with marshmallow cream.

Marshmallow filling

2 teaspoons very hot water
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups (one 7-ounce jar) marshmallow creme
1/2 cup shortening
1/3 cup powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Combine salt with hot water in a small bowl and stir until salt is

dissolved. Let cool.

Combine the marshmallow creme, shortening, powdered sugar, and

vanilla in a medium bowl and beat until fluffy, using an electric

mixer on high speed.

Add salt water and beat to combine.

When the cakes are cool, use a skewer or a chopstick to make three

holes along the bottom, moving the stick around slightly to create

space inside the cake. Fit a pastry bag with a small tip and fill

it with the marshmallow creme mixture (or scoop it into a

resealable bag and snip off a tiny bit of one corner; pipe filling

into each cake, using the three holes.

AAAAAGGGGHHHHH! NOT ME AGAIN! What nut job would attempt to make a Twinkie with a damn spice bottle and tin foil. I see you have triggered the "Tard" alert again!!! AAAAAGGGGHHHHH! Somebody just shoot me! This fake McMolly is killing me! Oh yea, and PS! McDonald's is a registered trademark of McDonald's Corp. I am not sure they are going to like it when they find out you are advertising Twinkies (also another trade marked name) under the McDonald's brand. I am on the phone right now!! I know, I worked for McDonald's several years. Proud to say my stores had the lowest paid wages in the area!

How many more companies are going to have to close their doors and send more people to the unemployment line before America wakes up and realizes that unions are nothing but a parasite, sucking the life out of businesses. Sure, 50 years ago they served a purpose, but now, what do they contribute? NOTHING! The sooner we can get rid of unions and the greedy politicians (including the current President) that support them for the lucrative kickbacks, the sooner the economy will start to improve.
