I was told she was 20 yr. old girl from Indy. Her name was Billie and she had one or two small children. Everything else I've heard about this may very possibly just be rumors so I'm not going to include any of that here. My prayers are with her children and her family.

Her name was BIllie Lukins. She was 31 years old, has one daughter, Stormie, 13.
Billie was my best friend, and I want her to remembered.

You have my condolences. I hope you can cherish the happy times that you had and I hope that everyone in general cherishes every moment with friends and family.

We heard from the roomer mill that no one from the drowning sceen ever came to the hospital to follow up or check things out. There was no ID and it took quite a long time to identify her. How sad!

i was told by a close family member that the lady that was with her at the lake who was suppose to be her best freind didnt wait for the family to get to the er before she left. It took awhile for the family to be contacted thats why they did not release her name in the paper at first.

What difference does it make? Her alleged best friend had drowned perhaps she was overcome with grief, felt survivors guilt, felt remorse that she couldn't save her friend. Maybe her relationship with the family was such that it would not have comforted her or them for her to have stayed. I don't know the victim, the family, or any of her friends, but I do know that when tragedy strikes, we all may know how we should react, but we don't know how we will. Quit judging.
