When is ICC's prez gonna wake up and clean up the athletic dept? I see almost every one of the head coaches out gettin sloppy drunk and embarrassing the college in public on a regular basis. None worse than the boys and the girls basketball coaches. They are both out of control drunks. The girls head coach is leaving with different women not named his wife all the time as well. But she's too much of a drunk her damn self to realize what he's doing all the damn time. And I've had friends leave with him so I know. The softball coach and trainer are just as bad. Baseball too. Always embarrassing themselves in public. I'm just sick of seeing it. The prez and athletic director need to clean it up or they need to be removed themselves.

Better yet, go see the president, He is usually available for personal conferences and I am sure he would make time for business as important to the college as your allegations.

Please keep in mind though that what an employee does on their free time is their own business and perhaps you should mind your own....

why is it the presidents problem what the coaches at ICC do? they are all grown adults and make their own choices. If they choose to go out and drink that's their business. Sounds like your life is so dead and boring that you have nothing better to do then to monitor what the coaches are doing, drinking and who they are with... sounds like you either need to grab a drink and pull up to the table or better yet keep your ass out of the bar if you dont' like what you see! Round a shots for EVERYONE!!:)

The coaches expect their students to live up to a certain so should they. But then again ICC is a party college!

ICC is a place to gain vocatioal training or up to two years towards a college education. What students an faculty do off campus is more or less their own business. If students or faculty go downtown to party, it is no different than downtown Lawrence or Aggieville and neither is particularly known as party towns. Most kids go to school to learn, and those that go to school to party are wasting their time and money.

Coaches don't expect any more of a student than to show up for class or practice sober and ready to participate.

Again, what a student or employee does off campus is their own business and shouldn't reflect on the college.

When you have athlete's like they do at ICC, you would go out and get drunk too!!!!

I beg to differ on a few points. First the silly ones....Lawrence is known as a big party school. Have you ever hung out on Mass Street at all? Aggieville, is also the "destination" where a ton of partying goes on at KSU.....Mass Street and Aggieville are THE places to go to party on those campuses.

Your comments on what coaches "expect" out of their student athletes is very short sided. Do you really think all that Bill Self cares about are that his players come to practice sober, ready to participate, and to go to class? Those are extremely low expectations and I'm sure the ICC coaches expect much more of heir kids. When a coach scholarships a kid, they are basically "paying" for a students education, and as a result, they can expect and demand certain rules be followed. It can be viewed like a contract.

Whether you agree or not, coaches are role models, and there are certain standards that should be kept. When a coach behaves badly in public whether they realize it or not, it reflects poorly on not only themselves but the institution they represent. I would say that what they do behind closed doors in the privacy of their own homes is different than what they do in public view.

Well make sure you get your facts straight. The former asst softball coach who got fired by the head coach in november of 2011 partied ALL the time. Hence why the head coach fired her! Not to mention the Burnett's, Barbara & Beau who are the head and asst coaches have done an amazing job with the program and turned it around. They are dorm parents with two small children and are never out partying. So make sure your facts are straight before you try and ruin a persons reputation. That is very harmful to someone who has took a team that barely won 5 games a year to the regional tournament. not to mention her team does lots of volunteering too.

I don't see much FACTS here at all so to ask them to get the facts straight would mean they should probably re type the entire thing if your talking "facts". It's pretty obvious where this is coming from. I mean really.. and indy parent (ha).. you know that much about the lifestyle of the head and the asst.coach?... Furthermore there was no reason to bring up about the firing of the last assitant because no where in the first post was anything mentioned about the asst softball coach I beleive it says the softball coach and the trainer. Way to stick up and support and justify the well being of the Womens softball program though. Kudos to you!!:) I love the coaches at ICC. I might buy them a shot tonight if I see them out..!!

I havent meet all of the coaches at ICC but have meet a couple. One being the Baseball coach. Mr. Joy and have the upmost respect for for the man. And last time i checked if ur 21 then u can legally drink they r grown adults. How would u feel if people told u how to live they dont need ur permission. I could see it if they were partying with their players or in front of them. Im guessing most of thier players havent spend much time worrying what their coachs did in thier personal life. If the guy is chesting on his wife its not ur business, ur so disgusted but UR friends slept with a married man. Is that not wrong in ur rule book? Or r u just pissed cuz he didntwant u.

Most of the coaches are just passing through Indy for a few years. I think woman want to get out and they try to get there hooks into them so they will take the with them when they leave.

well it is pretty obvious who wrote this post, non other the "I'm better than everybody because I am ffrom Texas" head coach herself! First of all I wouldn't be bragging about living in dorms at a junior college with two small children, not the coolest thing ever!
Seriously she is the most high on herself person ever! Everything she does (according yo her) is bigger and better than anynody else has ever done! She will be nice to your face, but the second you turn your back she will throw you under the bus faster than you could take two steps forward!
I feel sorry for her husband, he is a nice guy but she has him so whipped he cant even think straight!
