My husband was telling me that he and his family used to go to Peter Pan ice cream. He thought it was where Aardvark Video used to be, now a payday loan place, maybe? Is this where Peter Pan ice cream was? Does anyone remember? Thanks.

Yes that is right. I use to go in there along time ago and it had great ice cream. It was a lot like Dairy Queen. I remember another ice cream and hamburger place up on North Penn. I forgot the name of it. Ii was great place. A lot like Dariy Queen

Peter Pan Ice Cream stores use to be in several towns in SEK. If the buildings are still there you can usually always tell it use to be a Peter Pan.
Was always a good place to go for a cone.

Peter Pan Ice cream. I remember from way back. They had hand packed ice cream, not like the Dairy Queen's soft serve.

Actually Peter Pan was a pre-cursor to Braums. Started by one of the Braums founders, before joining with Bill Braum in Emporia, to start Braums.

Yes thats right. I was Mr. Swiss. I remember all those great soft drinks, the ice cream, the food. All those great neon lights, red, yellow and blue. It was a really lite up and colorful. It brings back a lot of great times from the past Yes you are right about the hard ice cream. Not soft like the Dairy Queen.

My husband said he threw a tantrum because he wanted one of the Eskimo dolls for sale at Peter Pan. His older brothers were like, "Bro... it's a DOLL!" He got the doll, and is sure his mom still has it, somewhere. lol- He turned out none the worst for wanting a doll back in the day. ;)

There was one called "Anchor Inn" - privately owned, but closed up business when Mr. Swiss came to town less than a block away to the south from them. "Anchor Inn" was owned by same folks who owned the mobile home park on same property where the hair salon and mexican restuarant is now. Mr Swiss went away when the hair salon was built. Back in the mid 60's, I used to help my grandfather mow the grass at the mobile home park, and I was pleased to get $2.00 for the day, along with an ice cream cone.
