Someone came in my back yard at 1625-n-penn and stole my childrens dog last thursday and that was a bold move coming in my yard,he was a lil brown chiwinnie with white on his chest I got pictures in circulation and I got the law and others looking for my childrens dog, its a small town and eventually someone will see him and at that time I will be to see you stealing from my kids is a major violation, we are gonna be looking for that dog forever and a day. I ride around this whole town everyday looking, so either me or one of my friends will like I said before eventually see you with him just putting it out there (Ain't no one worse then a thief!) Why would a person risk there existance going in someones yard to steal a damn dog.....My dog answers to the name chrome.

Over the course of the LAST SEVERAL YEARS, there had been a MULTITUDE of small dogs stolen from their owners in Independence. About 99% of the dogs advertised in the paper's "Lost and Found" section are SMALL DOGS. Sadly, one explanation for small dogs being the ones stolen, is that they are being used in training pit bulls for fights.

The only way we can get any action from the police is for anyone who's missing a dog to be sure to report it to the police (so they can have records and see the trend) and for anyone who sees someone abducting a small dog, to call the police immediately, take note of the abductor's physical qualities, clothing, vehicles, license number, etc., and report it to the police when they arrive. Until the people responsible for these dog thefts are caught, the thefts will no doubt continue. It might be wise for anyone with a small pooch to keep it inside or somewhere it cannot be grabbed. Hopefully, you will find your dog safe and sound.

They can easily sell the little dogs in another town. Be sure and get a picture to the sanitation guys and the meter readers who are in everyone's backyard. Post a reward too. I got my dog back a few years ago when the sanitation guys saw him tied in a backyard on the edge of town (not Indy). I didn't need the police.......
