But anyway, they should be happy she was reading an actual book instead of online material. People should be encouraged to read books more, but if they're going to get arrested for holding on for one for too long then that sort of takes the appeal out of it. If anything they should've put a lien on her house for that amount or something; she would've paid then.

Yea it prob. costs them more to go to court than it costs for the book. Wow how crazy can you get. They are just waisting the money that she has to pay for the late book in court fees.

Libraries should stop charging fines and require late charges to be paid with cans of food. Pantries are running low.
