Rush: Why did the tarantula cross the road?

On July 4th, while the rest of the country was sleeping in or having backyard barbecues, I was on the road driving back from a trial in Fort Stockton, Texas.

I lived in west texas for 32 years, and I have found that when the tarantula's came out of their burrows or where ever they were hidden at and they crawled everywhere , it was a sign to us that it was going to rain, and it usually did after seeing them out and about everywhere. The rains just seems to bring them out.

ain't that the truth.seems like my yard is a den of them.they scare the h--- out of me.I found one on my drapes on the patio last nite.Is there a way to get rid of them?

I have heard that you can make pets out of them is that true?

That would not be hard they already come inside and get in your bathroom.But who would want one for a pet?

I remember once at night stopping during the night between Kermit and Odessa on the side of the road for relief. I looked down after I had been standing there a second and one was crawling across my foot. As I looked around I saw hundreds of them, I quickly jumped on my bike and took off. I have not done that again to this day, that was 34 years ago.
