Geez. I wonder who picked up the phone and called them to report on it. Did you notice how FORMER councilwoman Borgelt was interviewed? I sincerely doubt they just look up FORMER council members to get interviews.

It it my opinion that she called them. If she did she did a great job of tarnishing the City's reputation on a grander scale...again. If you did it Doris then shame on you.

But if Doris did run to the media then she further publicized it to many others and tarnished the reputation further.

And it's not that the citizens are uninformed. They are informed, they just don't want people like Doris that act the way she does. So don't keep fooling yourself that it was uninformed citizens that kept her out of the Mayor's seat, they were all very well informed. Maybe she shouldn't have slung mud in the election. Voters tend to hate that.

To set the record straight.....I was at the start of a funeral procession at the time I received a call from Channel 4. So, no, I did not call them.
This is not about the Mayor's race, it is about another big payout,$450,000 being paid because of the failure of leadership to act accordingly at the Arnold Police Department and City Hall. If the city had a case, they would have presented it confidently. If they were in the right they wouldn't be hiding the depositions and keeping it all under a gag order. Release it all, see what the public who is paying for this all thinks!
Who pays the premiums for the insurance, uh, that would be the taxpayers.
LUNN, your misguided opinion means absolutely nothing to me. I just want to make sure the public has access to the truth instead of your inane ramblings.

Then it is my opinion that one of your camp called and gave them your number as they don't usually seek out former officials to interview. The locals I have talked to all are of the opinion it was "sore loser syndrome" as one so gently put it.

So it it okay with you if people who are currently elected officials pay their personal property taxes late instead of on time?

You are invited to call the reporter, he got my number from another reporter. I don't have a camp. In case you didn't notice, the Mayor and Sweeney were interviewed first.
Now the subject here is the BIG payout, not me. The Mayor was in on it, the Chief was in on it and the city attorney was in on it. The insurance company cut their losses. It's called conceding and in this case, a cover-up.
It's time that the people were in on all of the secrets being held within City Hall....

I watched the report and you appeared first.

Cases are settled all of the time with payouts and no fault. Just talk to doctors and lawyers with malpractice suits brought against them. You don't know why it was settled, just making statements that may, more than likely, be false.

The subject is the article on KMOV which YOU were in so you are part of the discussion because of your statements to the media.

So, Bob Sweeney admits on the tape he was caught in a steel trap (of a case) and gnawed off the taxpayers(via the insurance company)arm to get out of paying almost 2 Million in damages. Chew on that for a while.

I was not interviewed first! They interviewed the Mayor, then Sweeney at City Hall at two in the afternoon on that day. They came to my home after 3. I don't have to prove anything to you, just dispelling your assumptions. Again, this is not about me, it is about the settlement and how it came about. I did not cause this action, this came from within the department. A cause of action was filed with the Missouri Commission on Human Rights and Mrs. Ott was issued a RIGHT TO SUE letter after an investigation indicated there was a problem right here in Arnold in our Police Department. I did not cause this problem, nor was I involved in this incident. There is a culture of secrecy and corruption in the City of Arnold, and this is just the tip of the iceberg. If you think there was no guilt, then YOU demand they release the investigation to the public, just as they did with the Boone case! C'mon, I dare you. If you want the truth that is what you will do as a citizen. I'm sure you won't though, because you seem to expect everyone else to do everything while you sit on your rear end and demand answers. Try doing some demanding from the right people for once. Everyone is invited to go to Scribd.com and look up the Ott case and any other documents pertaining to Arnold and the way they cover up the truth.
I have better things to do with my time than to go digging through things hoping to find something, like you are doing.

People want you to quit. They voted you out and that should be your first hint. They don't care about whatever corruption there may be. All cities are most likely corrupt, but it doesn't get the exposure like you are doing and tarnishing the city's reputation. Just like the county performs more meth busts than anywhere else, it doesn't mean that the other places don't have as big a problem, just that they aren't going after them.

Then you choose to continue to tarnish the city's reputation. Your choice but at least we all know what you are out for.

I am out for truth, justice, accountability and the American way. You and those of your ilk may not like the truth, but it needs to come out anyway. Now run along and go back to work, before someone calls the subcontractor you work for and lets them know you are playing on the internet instead of working.

Considering I don't work for a subcontractor feel free to go right ahead. You like to threaten people and their jobs, don't you?

According to the administration, Moss was guilty and that's why they paid Boone 55K. So by that reckoning, Shockey must be 10 times as guilty as the payout was nearly 10 times as much at a half a million dollars.
