You are soooo wrong. If an officer is put on leave it is without pay. It happens all the time. Ask Ott. She is one of many. It is a wrong practice. I can't believe the city has gone on like this. Some officers don't have the money to fight and fight getting attorneys involved for months all while not drawing a paycheck. Doris is correct when she says the officer gives up and moves on. Not because they are guilty but because they have families to feed and house. They can not afford to go on. Sir/mama you need to pull your head up from your bootstraps and do some research.Now who's arguing/questioning themself(ves).
No, they don't all get put on paid administrative leave. It depends on what it is. This most likely wouldn't.
I don't care what an officer does if they are put on leave, they should be paid until they get a hearing and it is decided if they are terminated. End of subject. If this means emergency hearings by the police board then get it done. None of this months dragging stuff out.
