Too bad. You don't even live in Arnold. You want a man who promised to clean up city hall and only made it dirtier to win? Why? He has done nothing to make the workings of city hall and city council more open to the public. He is in charge of the circus and so far the only thing up is the price of admission.

1. Council meetings online.
2. Pay warrant information online.

How has he not done anything. More false accusations from a losing campaign.

And this thread remains about Shaun Missey Suing Arnold of the Election Disqualification, where he is Suing Waller and Sweeney.

While you have a lot to say about Counts in a thread that is not about Counts, the fact that you pick a Funny Little Name like "URA Ding Dong" helps prove the point that some that are so gung ho to support Doris are more that willing to insult, name call, and bully those that do not agree with them. Even when their disagreement is expressed in respectful ways.

I am looking forward to seeing the outcome of the Shaun Missey case. I would love to know more details about who can and cannot be eliminated from the ballot and why.

And yes, knowing and having had interactions with both candidates, I do support Mr. Counts for Mayor of Arnold.

See, not everyone supports Doris.

Can I ask what you thought about Missey's tax activity, Vinny63010?

Do not know enough about Missey's Tax activity to say. Only know what I have read in the paper, and learned through my years that there is always more to the story.

I do know Ms. Waller has always tried to run her office fairly and takes her responsiblility to the city and citizens serously. I would suspect she felt their was cause to take the action she did.

Mr. Missey is doing the right thing if he does not agree with her decision. Not knowing him, I have a great deal of respect for the decision he has made to stand up for what he feels is right.

In the end, I am more intersted in hearing what the courts has to say at the outcome of this case, than I am in trying to cut either side down

Yes, there are three lawsuits and Counts is not named in all of them. This thread is about one he is not named in. My guess is there is a reason Missey did not name him.
Still, Knowing both candidates very well, would rather see Counts re-elected.
Ahhh yes coming from the imbecile ex councilman that rallied for cat leash laws, eminent domain, no smoking, red light cameras and higher taxes.
Shoved it all down peoples throats....then high tailed it outta town because he said he couldn't afford to live here.
Go stuff yourself buster! You have no idea how glad I was when you skipped town.
You know all about those backroom deals and participated in them. Keep your nose in pevely where it belongs!

Bill, You are so wrong in your assessment of Coffee with Council! I announced Coffee with Council in the middle of a Council meeting. The first one was also posted in the Leader and on Patch. I HAVE NEVER EXCLUDED ANYONE!!! I never said only "these council members" can come. All you had to do was show up. But it's obvious that you're only interested in the concerns of certain members of our community, not all.
Unfortunately, or fortunately, however an individual may look at it, I understand you will be gone for the next one that will be on April 10th.
Coffee with Council is for everyone in Arnold. I don't care what Ward you live in or your "political" affiliations. I brought the idea forward to hear the concerns of everyone, good or bad. And to brainstorm for ideas to improve our community.
The thing is, we have a mix of people who show up, some are long time residents, who are tired of the same goings on in City Hall, some are newer folks, who would like their voice to be heard and don't feel that it happens. I guess it's a "birds of a feather" situation. This is an open forum unlike City Hall.
As I said, the next Coffee with Council will be April 10th in the Jaycees room at the Library from 9a - 11a. Let's see who shows up.
I am sorry you won't be getting more level headed support on council by Shaun Missey. From what I know of him, he would have looked to the rights of the people and worked to reduce government intrusion, just the opposite this current administration seems to like. Moritz is leaving that soon? At least there is some good news! Too bad we can't undo all the damage he's done to the city by being a lackey of the mayor and attorney. And thank you Councilwoman Hohmeier for your transparency! It is refreshing to get emails answered and phone calls returned. Unlike those I've personally tried with our current mayor (who needs to be replaced). Seems ignoring them is his modus operandi as I've tried several times on several occasions, yet not once got a reply. It was good to see several other council people at the meetings and their willingness to listen. And yes, you've put the word out to any and all Arnold citizens and invited them to attend. A complete "open door" policy is so refreshing! And most unlike that closed door policy of the mayor and city hall where they like to hide in the back under the cover of darkness to decide what to spring on the citizens. Mr. Missey will be doing all the citizens of this town a favor if his suit helps get rid of the attorney and taking those willing accomplices with him!

It doesn't matter who is mayor. Nothing will ever change with the way the council fights with each other and takes shots at one another. Seriously? Lawsuits, name calling, accusations of "back room dealings"

You'd think this little town was New York or Los Angeles. You people who think you are sooo important because you sit at that table in the courtroom are seriously in need of a wake up call. Arnold is the laughing stock of the St. Louis area because of all this crap! Those of you on the Arnold city council are embarrassing! What a joke.

I will take this one guys...

The lawsuits are a direct result of Ken Moss' painful action of bad behavior against an employee of the City of Arnold for doing her job. Ken's sister was discovered to have stolen services from the city. Her intentions were may have been okay but it went wrong. She and Ken were friends of mine, I wish it could have been ended with paying it off but it was not. The city director reported the matter and Ken's sister was terminated. That waS not acceptable to Ken. All the rest stemmed from that. Ken does nor possessess the maturity to correct this. It hurts me more than you know but Ken will not own up to his misdeed.

Bill,

With respect, with this being pending litigation, and you being a current sitting council person, is it appropriate or you to be discussing pending litigation in a public forum?

You have also just claimed as a sitting council person that a very specific individual was discvered to hve stolen services. So, as a person of authority in this city, you have just publically named her as a thief without the benefit of a hearing or a trial.

So, what would you say will be the cause of the next lawsuit. I think you just opened the city up or another one. Sometimes it is better to say less when you are in office, not more.

What does any of that have to do with the ballot tampering engaged in by Diane Waller and Bob Sweeney? What does that have to do with Ken and how is he responsible for their corrupt actions? Bars close early tonight, or just enjoying some Easter libations?

Mr. Moritz really doesn't want that house of his after all! This is clearly an attempt to transfer his property to Ms. Moss! Alcohol removes filters that may exist when sober, that seems to be the case here. Guess he is getting as much alcohol intake accomplished as he can before going to a country where imbibing the hooch is illegal and the punishment large. One has to wonder how one man can be so out of touch with reality.
Mr. Moritz needs to get it straight. Ken committed no misdeed. The piece of crap investigation proves that. Ms. Boone was paid because the Mayor, city attorney and city administrator admitted guilt when there was none and they WANTED to pay her for political reasons. They think it made them look good. Someone told me that Bill called me a bad name, can I get $55,000 lump sum, plus a five year contract at $70,000+benefits with no one speaking to me during that time too? What a bad deal for Arnold. Let's make sure the real cause of these monetary gifts is lead out the door and the Mr. Missey's suit helps in hastening that event.

Seriously? Do you have anything but rocks rattling around in that head of yours? Where does it say that? It does say that going after Ken Moss was a political ploy, but Missey's suit is what will help expose the corruption, provide provide legal proof of it and punish the perpetrators Waller and Sweeney.
