Where is our contract? If we are working under last years contract, and as apart of that contract, we were givin a 3.5% pay increase due on Nov. 1st. or is that not correct? Ask Fran about the contract all I got was that the deal is going slow... Any info would be better then none.

the union signed a confidentiality agreement, so your not going to get any information. we fall under the old contact to a certain extent and raises are not one of them. All we can do right now is hope for the best and pray that people dont get nervous and vote a bogus contact through again. Even if our union reps say its the best well get, if your not happy then vote no. people need to realize they may threaten to close the plant but its a bluff, there is way to much for the company to lose.stand your ground and be realistic abd we could come out on top this time

If any benefits we have now are reduced they better stay and fix it now. Because it will get voted down. Maybe if they didnt wait intil September to start we wouldnt be without a contract now. Lets see $20 a week times 1200 people thats $24000 a week the Remington saves. No wonder its going slow.

Look ass monkey, union workers are a dime a dozen now with the idiots they are hiring off the street. If you strike so what? Just hire more who do the same job you do and at a lower wage.

Idiots like you are the ones who will vote a pathetic contract through just for "the good of the company"...

Tell the company to shove this offer. 3% raise with the increase in everything leaves us with nothing to gain! We need to stand tall and show this company we wont take it anymore!

If the union was smart they'd get the international involved....I'm sure they would bargain for us or at least give our union some good advice....and if we don't stick together on this we may as well plan on getting nothing...raising our health ins. and 3% raise is nothing!!! Stand tall 717

Sad part is the international wants nothing to do with us really since we opted out of joining the strike fund. All we are now is a little extra money in their pockets! Hopefully people will fight this time, and not settle, keep voting no until were happy

I would not worry about the guaranteed 3% raises, im a bit more worried about the job security section being taken out. Lol I know if the move within 100 miles I can still work. What's going to happen if they move to Kentucky? This contract is not bad..... you all voted for the last one and that was just a rapping... bottom line here is we can't stop them moving or get more money from them.

If we vote it down what then. We are not getting more money. If they want to build a new factory near us, what's the big deal? I just want to work and get a paycheck. I didn't get a raise for 5 years at my last job, everything else went up over that time. Why are we so worried about a 3% raise? They don't owe us a raise.... look around here for a job and see what other employment options are around there is nothing. Keep that in mind.

I wonder why they wouldn't just reword the Job Security section to state those certain models had to stay within 100 miles of the current plant. If they really plan on keeping the plant in this area it should have been no problem. This contract paves a four lane highway for them to get the plant out of Ilion and out of New York. The threats of moving will no longer be just threats.
