You state that the workers are union scum. Union scum has protected the rights of the american work force for years. There is corruption in every aspect of life.Unions being no different. That is why we have elections in order to eliminate the bad and to keep moving forward. You sound jeolous that you arent able to grab any of the money to be made by working at the Arms. Maybe if you quit smoking pot long enough to pass a piss test you might be able to get hired.

Why is it I never hear anyone at the shop talk like this? This sounds more like the company trying to bust our union up.

I posted this on Mayfields topix. You say "work union live better" One of the people working the TPA line should have bid on the 1911 job but was coerced into not bidding that job.If that person was informed of the proposed move of their job to Mexico they most certainly would have bid the 1911 job and recieved the bid. Union officials knew months ago about the TPA job moving but never said anything to the effected employees. Thats your union looking out for your best interest.

The only talk of anything going anywhere by the company has been possibly outsourcing PMPD. I don't think that was agreed to. It's people like you that start these stupid rumors that create trouble and cause stress. Of course that's your intent isn't it.

We have monthly meetings to discuss issues such as this. The company has made confirmations to the union reguarding some restructuring and division elimination. You should see a union official or someone who attended the last meeting for details. Please keep in mind that these rumors are always flying around. If a union rep. would have advised the workers of these "PROPOSED" changes then it would have been good advice in this case. If Chuck Schumer would have thrown the company a tax bone to keep the 60 or so jobs, after this TPA assembler bid out, then the union would have lied to the people. You shouldn't let the cat out of the bag unless you know the air is safe to breath.

I did see a union rep who attended the meeting and was told by the rep that the company wanted to outsource PMPD and that was it. The rest were rumors that I should'nt pay any attention to. I trust this particular rep because they also happen to be a very old, good friend of mine and have never lied to me before. I get so sick of these stupid rumors. I think some people just get bored and want to stir things up.

I have worked at Remington for quite a few years and still do, I like my job and all the benefits I have with it, even with the raise freeze and some benefits that have temporary changes, I want nothing to do with a union. I am not against unions in general, I think there are places for union, I have worked in a job with union and it was needed. Its not needed at the Mayfield Plant, there is nothing I have with the company that I am willing to bargain with. And there are already promises from the union supporters that we won't loose anything, the union does not sign our paychecks therefore they can not make those kind of promises, unfortunitely there will be people who vot and have no idea what they vote for.
