You really are a moron. A 2% tax increase is under the cap and less than the actual cost of living from last year. Please tell us all "rocket scientist" why his salary is just wrong. Oh tell us why he's a snake.

Why give him a 5 year contract. If he had a year left on his current contract, let him work on that for the next year and see how it goes. Maybe he doesn't work out. Now we're obligated to 5 years of pay. How many of us "regular people " have multi year contracts for our jobs. We get paid for our performance - week to week. Maybe a school superintendent schould have a contract for a year - but not 5 years for a totally new district ( a district where clearly many people do not feel he is the man for the job.) Let him prove he is the man - and then maybe you give him a longer contract. FIVE years to start- not a wise decision. Not even one board member questioned this?

They had to give him at least 3yrs. That's the way it works, and he has proven himself. Ilion-Mohawk district got a deal and they know it.

Tangorra is making the same money for the upcoming year he made last year, no increase in pay. He will continue to make the same money, no increase for the following 4yrs.. And by the way, Little Falls and Richfield's superintendents make more money than Tangorra. Ilion-Mohawk is a newly formed district with 2,400 kids, Richfield has 600 kids in a one room school house and their superintendent makes 10k more than Tangorra. The Ilion-Mohawk school district won the lottery, Tangorra made it happen and he got nothing.

Weren't we supposed to get a tax decrease after the merger was voted for? That was the promise. And Cosimo slithering his way to a five year contract should be no surprise. The surprise is how time and time again naive residents keep falling for political lies. Of course he was going to get voted in. The school would have had to continue paying him until his original contract ran out if they had not chosen him. He knew that and did his best to keep it under wraps even when some people brought it up. We knew he would be picked, and so did he. That's why he kept fighting so hard for this merger. Have fun paying the 2% tax increase while he secures himself 5 more years. Suckers!

And to the Tangorra-friend impostor calling himself 'herkimer' on this thread, it is BASE SALARY. That means the add-ons are not announced to the public. Thus the codename BASE SALARY. Another trick to lie to residents. Stop lying to us!

We did get a tax decrease. We are not paying a 15% increase like HS AND FS...laugh that off.

Oh and Moron, Cos had only one year left on his contract. The BOE we all elected could have hired a new superintendent at a lower rate over 5yrs to make up the loss. Instead the BOE we elected retained who they believe to be the best man.

Smile lil fella.

He probably thinks 2% is too high because its double his own employment raise. And he's probably a snake because he's educated and well liked. He will continue to do a wonderful job.

Why do you all hate this successful, educated young man? Because he is successful. He became successful because he chose to instead of whining and blaming the world for a life of mediocrity.
