Same as it does every year, and same as it will. We're shocked? This is news? It's cold. Wear warm clothes in the winter. Stay inside tonight. Don't drive unless you need to.

Oh no! It's the second week of January and it will be cold. Who would ever expect that in MN? However, I am glad I took down my Christmas decorations.

I'm in Fairfax, Virginia. Used to be when they said "blast of arctic air" that it meant frigid temperatures. Well I see on Yahoo that we are expecting highs in the low 30's and lows in the teens. This is frigid cold? Barely colder than our normal temps for this time of year (high 30's, low 20's). After experiencing -27 in Ohio this is nothing, please.

I thought there was no air in the Arctic. No. Wait. That was ice. But how did the air get cold?

I apologize in advance for this post, but some things in my off centered mind are just to good to pass up.

With all the hot air coming out of Alaska these days, one would think it would block out the Arctic cold and trap it up at the Artic circle and not let it get to Minnesota.

Ah, I changed my mind, I'm not apologizing.

You should always your first instinct. It is usually correct. Or, in your case, you might want to install a BS filter on your keyboard.

Aren't we a little uptight these days?
Maybe it's the Minnesota winter. Chill out.
And keep giving me spam, disagree, clueless on this post.
It validates everything I thought about ultra right conservatives. No sense of humor. Thank you.

Off-centered minds are a terrible thing to waste -- much better to share!:-)

And, yes, arctic air does need to go somewhere, otherwise the equator gets too hot. If there is not enough hot air in Alaska to counter it, perhaps we can channel some of it to Putin?

Just imagine how cold it would be without global warming? Gee, I bet if it was the good old days, it would get really cold here.

This just proves that Al Bore and his global warming militia are just a bunch of fruitcakes.

GREAT retort - "No, YOU ARE!"
LOL.
It was 80 degrees below zero in Alaska last week and we're to believe that the polar ice caps are melting? Global warming is hoax. It is false science that is believed only by the most gullible members of our society.

LOL. Yes, and the Earth is 6,000 years old, flat, and is the center of the universe.
Great insight. I mean, the daily weather in one place is definitely what the theory is about. You really have a firm grasp of it.
I know the "threat" of global warming has you worried. Just how scared are you, Albert?

Incredible! You are actually intelligent enough to inhale on a regular basis. I am proud to be, in your estimation, a rube. If you thought I had a couple neurons to rub together, then I'd worry. Please tell me that I am ugly, too!

Someone on another site counted the number of "Fat" Albert's posts. On this site not counting my post, "Fat" Albert has posted 8 of the 22 posts on this dreary subject. Almost every hour on the hour like a Grandfather clock gone awry. His responses indicate to me his behavior is obsessive, compulsive and also indicative of being anti-social and suffering from an inferiority complex. "Fat" Albert, I know a very good Doctor that might help get over your inadequacies. His name is Doctor Vinnie Boombatz. Rodney Dangerfield recommended him to me and I see him on a regular basis because of my off the center sense of humor. My problem comes from taking to many of Vern Gagne's vitamin pills. Can't get rid of this twitch every time I see wrestling on TV.

IMHO, if mans activity is causing the globe to warm then NONE of the earth would get colder.

Especially this winter the entire earth is colder than average recorded history.

Common sense would dictate this!

I understand Al Gore needs to make a living but when does this non-sense end?

Good to see we have an abundance of licensed psychological professionals here on Topix to give us their learned insight and advice.
The most convincing way to lend credibility to one's advice is to go into an extended vituperative spew. That definitely indicates that one knows what one is talking about and is also very emotionally balanced and mature.
Counting posts is also a good way to show others that you don't have OCD.
When it comes to Topix I am actually emotionally unbalanced and admittedly grossly immature and I plan on staying that way until I can no longer click keys on a keyboard. I am also retired so I can idle my time away counting all your insipid posts, even thou I supported and voted for Obama. Any extreme view point is wide open for satirical comments and you and that "jo jo" are prime targets for satirical attacks.
Your posts remind me of trying to eat a dried out piece of fruitcake. You just can't stomach it.
You must be happy . I see there is a full moon tonight.

We need Albert to do another 6, 12 or 18 posts a day. He is the only one who can make us understand what is right.

Hi There,

Excuse Me!!

With mans VERY limited knowledge of how this rock called earth works you MR Know It All is the proverbial pot calling he kettle black.

If I'm stupid to draw an OBVIOUS conclusion from plain old current climate facts where does that leave you??

Keep on blowing smoke, it will get boring to be judged "clueless" "spam" "nuts".

Thanks for reading,

Heather

"Extreme" view point? Perhaps you could point me to an example.
I know you're one of those people who fancies playing the "I'm above partisanship" act. Every place has someone like you, usually many.
Please demonstrate that I have "extreme" views. Go ahead.
Why don't you explain to us why you think global warming is real. Would you rather just disagree with everyone by trying to sound intelligent?

Daily Horoscope for November 16

Taurus

Today's New Moon gives you a chance to improve your relationships, but beware of people who are deceiving you. Someone you trust may have proverbial feet of clay, so try not to be too disappointed. If you enter each new relationship with your eyes wide open, you can avoid the disillusionment that comes with wishful thinking.
