Board deadlocks on sled dog that attacked child
The life of a sled dog that attacked a 2-year-old girl has been spared for now. The Mat-Su Animal Care and Regulation Board deadlocked 2-2 Monday on whether to classify the sled dog belonging to Iditarod musher Jake Berkowitz as a "level 5" threat, which would have meant euthanizing the animal.

"Berkowitz contends the child's mother was given permission to be in the yard but he didn't know she would be accompanied by small children."
So since this mother thought it was just a-okay to let a 2 year old toddler walk about a bunch of usually high strung ready for action sled dogs, I suppose using her logic it would have been just as a-okay if she'd brought a class of kindergartners instead without Berkowitz knowing it? And now he's being held accountable for her stupid pathetic "I'll put my two year old toddler among a bunch of sled dogs and hope nothing happens" thinking? She should have her child(children) taken away from her till she sees a shrink for having made such a dangerous decision for that toddler and to find out why she made that decision.
