Don't be so disrespectful! She was a very intelligent lady and no one needs to get on here and say things because she does have family that I'm sure doesn't need to read bad comments!

Please have respect for the family. She was my aunt. We may not have liked or agreed with the things she did in her last years, but we loved her.

That would have been better but she is not asleep. She will be back with her loved ones one day. She was my elementary teacher and principal when Lick Branch School was still there. She was always kind to me and I had respect for her. She was never talked mean to me and always talked to me when I would see her. She wasn't crazy she just like no one bothering her. It will not be the same going home and driving by her home or walking up to see her when I was in. She has been and will always be a special person to me. RIP Nellie Blevins. May you be at peace and we will see each other again.

My aunt was a loving person who wanted children of her own but the good Lord saw fit not to bless her that way. She was a wonderful aunt to me and my children and I will miss her always.
To all the people who have such mean and hateful things to say be aware that she became paranoid and we could do nothing about getting her help. As long as the adult protective services deemed her capable of making her own decisions all we could do was sit back and watch the situation progressively get worse. We begged her repeatly to let us help her, offered to move her out of there and into a better living situation, but she refused.
Please respect our family and our time of mourning. Please respect her memory and try to be understanding of her situation. You do not know, some day this could happen to one of your loved ones or even yourself.

You must be one of the younger punks that didn't know Ms. Blevins for over 40 years or more. It was people like you that made her turn into someone who would want to shoot someone. It sure wasn't her fault that you didn't have all the nice and expensive things she did. If she would have been your teacher you would have had respect for her and yourself. Beside the fact that she is at peace now You will be ok because you can find someone else to down and make yourself feel better.
