Yes we did have some great teachers in the 70's it seems so unreal that so many of them are no longer with us. And the people in our classes. I was just thinking the other day how many people have died that I have known in my life. Naighbors friends and family. I was the class of 75 and it is so hard to believe.

Shaun Maggard of cutshin. He was shot to death by an older man over a dog. Such a waste. Very sweet boy and good friend. Your death turned our world upside down. This incident occurred in 1997 or 1998. RIP and God bless you. I also knew several of the others mentioned on here. I hope they can all be remembered.

I think I learned more from James Hightower than any other teacher while I was there. He seemed hard at the time, but looking back on it, I learned much from his word study class and two years of Latin (do they teach this anymore?). I also took some basic college classes at night that he taught. He really was an excellent teacher.

Thank you guys so much for all the memmories. While the loss of our classmates and teachers is sad, while reading this it brought back memmories that I had not thought about in years. Keep posting if you know someone that attented LCHS that has past please post. It dosen't matter if you went to school with them or not. What is important is that they are remmembered.
