Entrapment entails enticing (say that five times fast) someone to do something illegal they wouldn't otherwise do. Unless you believe a lack of visible law enforcement entices a reasonable person to speed when they normally wouldn't... then no, it doesn't fall under 'entrapment'.

Regardless, there are no secret loopholes like 'they had their lights off' or they were 'hidden behind' something that somehow makes a speeding ticket illegal. If they witness you speeding, they can give you a ticket, simple as that. Everything else is just baseless rumor and urban legend that gets passed down from dumbass to dumbass.

There is a sure fire way to always avoid any speeding ticket; drive the speed limit. Going 55 instead of 35 through town is going to save you all of 15 seconds of driving time and makes it much more likely that you'll hit someone if they pull out/walk out in front of you.

its not really a matter of entrapment that is in question here. Rather the integrity of the local law enforcement. Who when informed of, in witness of or otherwise turn their eyes to much worse things than speeding and then set up speed traps. They are public servants put there to protect and serve. Who are they serving?

Because it sure isn't the people.

IE major meth problem, major pill trafficking problem, huge under age drinking problem, unsolved murders.

I moved away from the city because the country was suppose to be quaint and peaceful.

Hard to have quaint and peaceful when law enforcement picks and chooses when to do their job. And until I see nonbiased law enforcement behavior I will continue to alert others of speed traps and check points.

This is not Nazi Germany. I respect honest hard working law enforcement officers.

I have zero tolerance for those who take an oath to uphold the law, serve and protect the people and fail to uphold to that oath.

And seeing how me posting these alerts is neither violent nor threatening to anyone. and its not obstructing anyone from sitting in their speed trap idling out tax payers money. Which is another ill address at a later time in the idea that I see local law enforcement cruisers sitting at walmart in hazard or at lowes and I even see local officers in their gym shorts and tanks driving their cruisers to the store for personal use.

I don't think that I and every other tax payer is paying for them to have a free ride. They got personal vehicles for this. I don't want them burning my tax money out of the tank unless its patrolling or answering to calls. If they aren't on duty the cruiser needs to stay parked.

Until the laws of the roadways are enforced upon the 18 wheelers I will not cease in seeing to it other citizens have a similar means to avoid tickets and otherwise. No one is above the law. Not the law, not coal truck drivers, not teachers kids, not cops kids, not one person is above the law. We must all abide by it. Failure to comply with the law by a select few is unjust and unfair.

excuse me for believing that everyone is equal regardless of social class or financial class

Quite a tirade over getting speeding tickets. My favorite parts were the Nazi references and how you're doing a service to social justice by whining about unfairness in the system. Personally I think it's more like Soviet Russia than Nazi Germany, myself ☭ ☺

Have you EVER called the sheriff's office and asked or complained about these issues? I willing to bet you haven't. But don't let my common sense rain on your parade... keep thinking you can affect change in the system by whining on topics and not actively doing anything else.

Just to inform the citizens, these speed traps are being conducted by an officer who does not have his training on the radar up to date. Fight the tickets with that info!
