whats the best way to lose weight without diet pills anyone with good tips ,,

I have thyroid problems and i am currently on meds for them which makes it hard for me to lose weight but Dr Chaney (DUSTIN) told me to cut out the pop and just eat chicken and fish through the week and then eat whatever on the weekend and dont eat 3 big meals eat 5 small meals breakfast being the largest.

Have your thyroid t3 t4 checked first

i also have the thyroid problem and i do take meds. for it but its still so very hard to lose and believe me i have tried just before i found out that i had the thyroid problem i went on a diet and lost alot of wieght and then i cam to a stand still and so i was tell my dr. about this and she had me checked for the thyroids and guess what she says that is what my problem is well back then she told me after getting on my meds . i woudl lose even more well no i didnt i have gained about 40 lbs since i have been takeing the medicine i have went back different of times to see what else i can do and nothing is working , i have even tried to stop takeing the medicine that im on and people tell me i shouldnt stop takeing it no matter what becuase of haveing more serious health problems well i started takeing them back and still im not loseing what else can i do .... i have cut all sodas off i dont have them at all now and i was haveing up to 5 a day or more ,, but since i have stop drinking the pop i have lost 20 lbs . and thats all . now i havent heard of eating the chicken and fish so ill be sure to try that and see where it goes from there ,,,,,, Thanks for your information

hey i have the same problem sounds like and i have been tring to lose but no luck yet .. i havent heard of the eating fish and chicken through the week like that does this just mean to bake it or broil it though.

learn to read food labels, oount your calories and fat grams. Burn more calories than you take in. visit American Diabetic Association and the American Heart Association web sites for diet information. A single olive has 5 grams of fat, a cup of raisins has 5 grams of fat. Which would be the smarter choice? Educating yourself on the foods you consume is the best way to know what to eat. Good luck.

It helps to know how many calories you need to taking in to be calorie deficient. There are a lot of free calculators on the web. It's based on your height, age, body type, and daily activity levels. Then keep a journal of everything you eat during the day...every single bite. This is very important in the beginning. Once you get a feel for what it just right and what is too much, it won't be as important to do that. Walking is good as long as you're not taking a sunday stroll. If you're going to walk, walk as fast as you can and really swing your arms to get your heart rate up. Variety is better though. Another thing, don't look at it as going on a diet...a diet is something that eventually ends. You need to change your eating habits...not go on a diet.

hey i have just started reading this discussion and it has been so helpful to me i to need to lose some lbs. and its is hard but it can be done with help of other friends and even family , i sometimes find that i cant get anybody else to do this with me what i woudl like to know is how is the best way to get motovated by doing it alone i have a friends and they will start but in a week they want to quit they drop out and im still trying to do it alone but at times i find it very hard to do it this way , what are some other good ways to keep this going does anybody have any ideas , Thanks alot

Get a dog to walk with you they are always ready to go. Pick a good long walk where you loop around something touch it everyday . Find past times that take you away from food. Don't try to change in one day give it time . Dogs are great after they go walking a few times they will remind it's time to go and they are always enthused about going any way works for me

i stopped the pop, i was up to 12 pack a day, and lost 5 lbs. my thyroid slows it down and if you have thyroid problems dont stop the meds because it will shut your organs down. anyways i have 2 small kids and it isnt always easy to walk but try if not, just go outside and sweat it off. keep moving and try to get your heart rate up. ppl walk around hear all the time and if your like me you hate to walk around where you live because you feel like your being judged and dont want to drive all the way to town because of gas prices. find somewhere that you ae comfortable and go. take a stick with you in case of snakes or other things. and about the fish and chicken bake broil or do my fav and grill!!!! eat plenty of greens.

I know what works for me and that is eating less and walking more. Keep a list of every bite you eat on paper and you will be aware of how much food you have consumed. You will lose twice more weight that way. Weight Watchers is a very good program if there is a chapter close to you, go at least once to see if you might like that.

Can you not take the diet pills? I have tried a lot of things but nothing ever worked, so I went to the diet doctor and in 2 monthes I lost 40 lbs and I did not starve myself, I ate lean cuisines and stop pop completely. I just drink water and sometimes crystal light and I allowed myself a snack 1 or 2 times a week. I also ate fruit expecially cherries they are real good for you they lower cholesterol and help you lose weight. But if you cannot take them then you could talk to this Nutrition Specialist in Hazard. I have been told about him but I have never been but this guy my husband works with a guy that went there and he lost a lot of weight.

well i have done the diet pills but they dont agree with me i have high blood pressure and thyroid and a few other things and im just so scared to take the diet pills now whe i took them before it was years ago and then i didnt have the thyroids and blood pressure so im afraid of mixing medicines like that i have talked to my dr. about it and she says its not a good thing for me to do if i want to take the diet pills on count of the blood pressure and thyroid . so im just stuck as to really know what to do best , thanks for your comment

pills. Have you watched the news lately? Well, I know for sure because I have a family member that took diet pills and his has caused them to have pulmonary lung disease! This is deadly. There is nothing they can do for them. They are getting a big settlement (very, very Large amount) but they are loosing their life because of them. So please do not take the diet drug and if you have please check with your doctors and let them test you for the disease! Just to let you know!
