I agree Lonnie Couch was Excellent. And so was Berlin Morgan...but I love Mr. Ronald Mattingly...he was so fun. I also loved Mrs. Marlowe...if you was truly trying, she would really help you...she and I became really good friends, and that's hard to find in a teacher. Sharon Mosley...well...I liked the literature but not really her...she caused me not to want to go to college.

Lonnie Couch was always one of my favorites too. He was always so nice to all the kids. He is such a great person and is always the same no matter where you see him. I seen him not to long ago and he still remembered me after all these years. I miss having him for a teacher.

There were many teachers that I felt were amazing. Jennifer Roberts (WITT) she has a caring heart and was willing to help, Polly Shepherd (Lewis) she knew BIOLOGY front to back and I thank her for laying down the rules. Emma Marlowe, what can I say she was GREAT, Renee' Stidham, Mollie Sizemore, Judy Wells, Eva Carol Couch man did she make time go by in ISD, Kathy Henry, shes great taught me those driving skills, Teresa Napier her classes were rough but ABSOLUTLY worth it! Charlyn Muncy is awesome, Mrs. Childers, I love her to death! She taught for a while and I loved her class she made learning FUN. Teaching is something I KNOW I COULDN'T handle, children have changed so much over the years, and BOY DO YOU NEED TO HAVE PATIENCE. So lets encourage our teachers!

I had really good teachers in the Leslie County School system. Jimmy Hightower's Latin class was as well taught as any class in the state. I still benefit from learning all those Latin root words. I didn't appreciate him then, but I do now. Jackie Walden was as good as any college level teacher I ever had. At the elementary level Mrs. Polly Dixon was so patient, so kind, and such a good teacher, I wish every elementary teacher could be like her.
