It's not addictive, it blocks you from getting the high you would get from drugs and helps calm the symptoms of withdrawal.

Suboxone will help you get off any narcotic, if you use it correctly, but it IS addictive! Most ppl don't become addicted to it during the treatment, but if not used correctly, you can get hooked on it too. Look it up on the Internet and see if it doesn't say it can become addictive. Most ppl doing the treatment don't have success because its not really a long enough treatment plan for ppl who've been addicted for years. The best treatment is still methadone, if ppl use it correctly and don't try to stay in treatment for 10 years. And the clinic in hazard couldn't care less about the patient, they only care about your money and as long as you're paying, they'll keep you indefinitely. If you could find a methadone clinic that's run properly, that's the best way. And to "I think"' who said narcotics are a crutch, and you can live without them. Yeah, most ppl can live without them, but if you've used them for whatever reason and become addicted, it's almost impossible to get off them without some sort of help. Your body will actually go into seizures sometimes. And there are actually ppl who CAN'T live without them. Not have any kind of quality of life anyway, if they have RA so bad it twists their joints , or extreme pain from bones that are pretty much dissolving. You can't judge another persons experiences unless you've walked in their shoes. Good luck " sure" I hope you get the help you need. In this town ppl think you're a thief or a junkie if you're addicted. They don't understand that some ppl get addicted from needing to take them for years, due to a particular problem. But then, most ppl are judgmental about everything unless THEY are the one needing help or sympathy.
