TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT, IT AMENDS CRIMINAL CHARGES OF ABUSE FROM A MISD. TO A CLASS D FELONY IF A PET OWNER OF A DOG OR CAT IS CONVICTED OF INTENTIONALLY EXTREME ABUSE OR TORTURE TO A DOG OR CAT. I BELIEVE THIS TYPE OF TORTURE AND ABUSE ON AN INNOCENT ANIMAL WILL LEAD TO THE SAME ABUSE TO AN INNOCENT CHILD IF GIVING THE CHANCE. I HAVE COPIES OF THE BILL AND ALSO A LETTER TO THE EDITOR OF THE LEX. HEARLD LEADER FROM THE STATE REP. THAT STARTED THIS PROCESS THAT IS REALLY MORE INFORMATIVE. I WOULD GLADLY MAIL OR FAX YOU A COPY OF EACH IF NECESSARY. JUST LET ME KNOW IF YOU NEED ANYTHING ELSE TO HELP YOU MAKE THE DECISION TO CALL.

I made one mistake Please spead the word when you call the 1-800-372-7181 message board, we need people to state they are in support of 'HB 145' I'm still learning the process of this quest hour by the hour. So please, keep telling everyone that is willing to call, make sure they tell the message board opr. it's support for 'HB 145, ROMEO'S LAW'. We've still got a long journey ahead, but for all the Romeo's that didn't give saved, we'll keep on. Also, new website if anyone has any questions; [e-mail].

i don't know the girl that is working so hard for thes, but i do think she has a great point when you listen to what she has to say about how most people start with defenseless animals or children and move on to more severe abuse or torture on their victims. scarey!!!!!!!!!! pulaski co isn't that far from leslie ya knw.

I give a standing ovation to the lady who has taken on this task to try and get Romeo's Law passed and back her 100%. I have written my representative and will call as well to let them know I am behind her all the way. I work in a shelter and see lots of cases of abuse and neglect and only wish that someday those who impose such cruelty, get in back in return two fold. May God Bless you and let's all work together to help our animals, they can't speak up!!!!

aww.. i saw that video of that poor dog and i had to turn away, it was so sad.. i have a dog and i couldnt imagine doing anything like that.. i dont see how anyone could ever be that cruel.. it was so sad :(

When I called the operator asked for my name, address, county and phone number and to leave a message for my rep. I gave all info and my husband called separately. Everyone need to support this! Call, Call, Call, Call..........
