Refresh my memory: Who was the Governor who let tea partiers speak at a media event he organized?

You may not have heard much about it, since it doesn't fit in with the "conservatives are the biggest victims" meme.

It's no secret that Obama is much more of a publicity hound than Bush ever was.

I wonder how many times he used the words "I", "me", "my"?

I wonder if the DFL will call for an ethics investigation on Oberstar for destroying all constituents complaints instead of passing them on to Cravaack?

The committee will have to make a campaign contribution to get this crook to show up.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't communicating with the people part of what the President is supposed to do in a democracy? Presidents who are aloof are not well thougt of. In fact, I seem to recall a relatively recent President who was much lauded for his communications ability. His communication seemed to be what people admired most about him and it made him remembered fondly, even though he was not popular when he left office. It made the public willing to overlook his misguided policy choices and the many ethical and legal failings of members of his administration.

It's hard to imagine a President who is not a "publicity hound." The Presidency is a poor career choice for the shy, retiring type.

Get over Bush. For all the brilliant people like you who keep beating this drum about how dumb Bush is...he is a hell of alot smarter than you, so that makes you...? For a dumb guy, he sure outsmarted all the stupid liberals for two terms. Yeah, too bad Kerry didnt win and we could have gone thru the Edwards scandal together, rivaling Slick Willie's scandals. Moron.

They haven't been given their talking points yet so the Sheepoctrats are pre-programed to go back to the last know talking point. Bush...

I love the "our guy is bad, but your guy was worse" defense.

So back to the actual article. About our local hipocracy... The only this Goper did was admit (or his assistant admitted) that he didn't take meetings with the opposition.

What do you expect? The people are fooling themselves if they think that democracy works any different than an elementary school playground.
