Give him a break. You aren't going to hurt anyone driving a lawnmower. Kinda funny though....

"Stupid is as stupid does."---Forrest Gump.

It would have been simpler to walk than to drive, while being intoxicated, your lawn mower on the roads. Taking a relieving whiz at the roadside is gross, uncouth, and forgivable but making it apparent with DWI with your lawn mower is one for the books.

Community service [lawn mowing city property], fines, and probation should be the order of the day; if no further DWI are on your DMV records. After one year, of perfect vehicle driving records, neatly/soberly cut city lawns, and no further drinking issues, the court record should be expunged of this incident.

That should be a lesson, for all, to keep the lawnmower on home turf and the grass cut neatly!

"It's illegal in Minnesota to operate any motor vehicle under the influence."

Not quite true. "It's illegal in Minnesota to operate any motor vehicle ON A PUBLIC ROADWAY under the influence."

Even if he drove his lawnmower on a public roadway, I can see the public urination charge, but the DUI is over the top.

No wonder he was driving his lawn mower. It's probably his family vehicle.

Man, where was this guy raised? Everyone knows you pick up a spare case BEFORE you start the lawn.

So really, how dangerous is it to operate a lawn mower while tipsy? If I have a few while mowing the lawn are the thought police going to come get me? How about bicycles? I heard the local cops were busting people for riding drunk. C'mon! Aren't the cops getting into every aspect of a persons life now, and what can we do to stop it?
