Not only did Wayne Fortun not have the Balls to talk to the people of Sioux Falls but he does nothing for the Hutchinson plant either. He never comes to the floor to talk and see how things are going. The people that are working under him are the same way. No kind words for the workers. No hey hows it going. Nothing but cruel threats. Coming out of the hospital all you hear is "its to bad about your work restriction....you want a job you will do as we say or we will find someone else to fill your position." Yea great caring company that does nothing for the employees. Why not come out to the floor and see what we are going through. 90% of us are injured in one way or another. We just dont dare say anything or we get thrown out the door and a temp will come in and fill our positions.

HTI puts on a compassionate corporate face and is careful to say all of the right things, but it's empty rhetoric. All the talk of concern about employee well-being is just that........talk, hence their handling of the plant closures, lay-offs, etc. HTI is riding the tail end of a soon to be obsolete technology and needs to milk as much profit as possible before only the medical division (talk about a real waste of capital) is the only thing remaining. In that light it makes sense for HTI to go off-shore. Unless HTI really has some emergent technology, they're basically a company on life support. Might as well start havesting the organs.
