Why do all the chats seem so negative. I am new to town and everybody seems so nice. But if I only read these postings and was not in Hustonville, I would not even want to visit this town, surley the good people of Hustonville can stand up and show others how great the town and area actually is in reality.

well you are mistaking this is my first post to this site. I am not starting any negative and will not post anything negative. I was raised that if you can't say something nice about somebody, not to say anything. So think what you want, but I do believe the people of hustonville are very nice people.

I might be able to explain. The gentleman with the Little Rock IP Known as "AOL" probably thinks you are me because we both show AOL as our IP. Maybe try posting your name and that will probably clear up the issue. There has been some debate lately about this issue.
I don't live there but I will be the first to welcome you to Hustonville. Stop by the haunted house and introduce yourself one night this week if you want.

There use to be good things about Hustonville. But now there's not much to say but there's a haunted house that is run by an official that can't take care of anything but scaring people. The dealers running around in town then the drunks that blow right by which he just waves at and turns his head. It's not hard, he knows who they are.Hustonville: haunted house, drugs, drunks and big trucks!! That's it!

I grew up in or around Hustonville, moved away in my early teens and noe over25yrs later I've moved bach with my son. Hustonville was a great place to grow up, people everywhere, always something goin on on main st. Now its sad, oh its quiet and peaceful enough but I sure do miss all the friendly people. The only people to be nice to me here are the landlord and one lady at the water dept.I go to the atm at the bank and people driving by stare and when I raise my hand and wave, they turn away. What happened to the old Hustonville? I miss it.

I agree with you Karen, Hustonville has a lot of nice people,in fact I have not meet anybody downtown that has not been friendly. I am sorry that AGI has had a different expreince. But hopefully it will change for her.But I have only heard about the Old hustonville. The present one is nice, yes a bit sparce, but hopefully one day it will go back to the way people talk about it.

Well maybe this one can be one of the new types, If everyone just talks about good things people do in Hustonville. Because I hear all the time, about people taking some of the older community members to Dr visits and to the stores, just to prove there are good people in hustonville
