Dont go to DJ's Food Mart aka BP! They add .50 to ur debit/credit card if u purchase something under $10. They also give u back .02 cents on the gallon of gas u purchase if u use cash or check. All that means is they raised there gas .02 cents but stiff u if u pay by credit/debit card.

You have to understand, anyone that has a credit card machine honors credit cards for the customer. If you pay off you card within 30 days you have no interest. The business man get charged 3% plus a swipe fee, plus a monthly charge of $30. I bet he pays $4000 a month in fees.

So, that is not the customers fault. If he don't want to be charged a fee he shouldn't accept credit/debit cards at all. Selfish Turds!

That is whats going to happen everywhere. With the cost of everything rising these retailers are going to stop the bleeding somewhere. i also take creditcards and I know exactly why he is doing this... I haven't been hit that hard with these rates yet but I would do the same thing... I talked to Glen Tuesday, and his credit card charges was $4400 for the month of April... So how would you like someone to just take $4400 out of you checking account... I have to watch mine close because thats what they do, i never know how much until I get my statements...Again I see why he is doing it I don't like it either but I do understand why...

It's not added to the gas. It's a service charge. BP is not going to do anything as long as they are selling gas.
Thank You

I travel 2 more miles to Dons Food Mart and get my gas. Its harder to get in because they are so packed but Id rather have my gas instead of my change. If the employees at DJs know u they dont give back your change anyway. They also said that everyone was charging the .50 charge on credit cards if u spend under $10 but that isnt true.

Hey! these people have a business to operate, they almost live at that store, how can you condeam them for trying to save money, thats why their still in business when others are closed down. If you don't like paying cash or with a check it's real simple travel the extra 4 miles North and go to Junction City or the 14 miles South to Hickery Hills and use your credit card and save the extra credit card charge,( oh wait a minute--- with the price of gas, did you really save???? Why did they change thier name to Morland Express?

Eubank, KY

#11 Aug 7, 2008
Moreland Express, formerly known as DJ Food Mart, is only doing what stations in larger cites have been doing for years. Why should the retailer pay for people who pay for items on credit and not cash. Wal Mart sued the credit card companies for the same reason and lost, but everyone still loves Wal-Mart. Gas stations are incorrectly perceived as villians but the real villains are the gas companies such as BP and Marathon which have posted record profits despite the higher cost of oil. If you do not want to pay for using imaginary money, use the real thing, CASH MONEY HONEY!!!!

i would like to shed some light on this, first the reason the name is gonna change (not yet) is so that we can continue to provide you with cheaper gas prices, in case you did not know, bp is one of the highest price fuels there is, we often take loss on other products to keep gas down. furthermore, we charge .75 cents per transaction on credit card purchases no matter what the total no matter who the customer. we offer .12 off on the gal. when you pay with cash or check to everyone. use this as an example, i pay .97 for a 2lt. pepsi product, i sell for .99, how long can i pay a 5000. a month credit card bill with a .2 cent profit? We try to serve everyone with a smile, we listen to problems, we say please and thank you to everyone, not because we have to, because we want to. We try to do everything we can to help people in every way we can, plain and simple. We do appreciate everyone coming in. We will continue to pass on every savings possible. Credit card fees are killing everyone. Please know the facts before you judge.
Thanks Moreland Express

Those people that are complaining about the food mart are just jealous red necks. The food mart has been great for this area and has always had the best gas prices in the area. I wish them the best and appreciate them providing a place to get gas. If they were to close people from the Hustonville area would have to go to Junction just to get gas. I hope the people that own the new Moreland Express understand that 99% of the people in the Hustonville area loves this store and appreciates what they are doing. Keep up the great work and ignore these jealous rednecks that make up less than 1% of the local population.
