It was between dj's food mart and the big church on 127.. It was a silver dodge truck, that had a gooseneck pulling a four wheeler and camping stuff, a n older navy blue jeep Cherokee (maybe) and the other car was a newer silver or white grand prix gt although the car was almost beyond telling what it so I'm not sure what it was it was so bad. Anyone know who was in the vehicles? I know they flew in 4 helicopters please pray for these people it was an awful wreck!

The names of the people were on the news tonight. Anyone know if they were from here or not. Several children and a baby. Last name of the kids was Lewis. Can't remember the mom's last name.

It was bad - they were all in the silver car and all flew out. We were having a cook out at church - please pray for them. All but the father and 9month old are still in critical condition.

June 28 UPDATE:

http://www.wkyt.com/news/headlines/97272539.h...

All five people injured in this crash remain in the hospital. UK Hospital officials say 28-year-old Melissa Silvers is in critical condition. The other four people inside her car are in fair condition, including Reggie Lewis, and Silver's three children, 10-year-old Dillan Lewis, 6-year-old Austin Lewis, and 9-month-old Trenton Lewis.

----------

A massive crash on a central Kentucky roadway injured five people, three of them children. The five were taken to UK Hospital Sunday after the collision involving four vehicles and a total of ten people. It happened just after two o'clock Sunday afternoon on Highway-127 near the Moreland community in Lincoln County.

28-year-old Melissa Silvers of Liberty and four of her passengers were taken to UK. One of those passengers, 28-year-old Reggie Lewis was in fair condition late Sunday night, and 9-month-old Trenton Lewis was in serious condition. Conditions for Silvers and the other two children, 6-year-old Austin Lewis and 10-year-old Dillan Lewis were unavailable.

Silvers drove a 2004 Pontiac that sustained the most severe damage after a Jeep rear ended it and knocked the Pontiac behind corrections officer Anthony Richardson, who was on his way to work headed in the opposite direction.'I was trying to get away from him, and he got me in the driver's side and spun me," Richardson said.

Richardson was driving northbound on Highway-127. When the jeep hit the car, it sent the car behind Richardson. Then the jeep slammed into his driver's side. A truck pulling a trailer was northbound behind Richardson. It crashed first into the car, then the jeep. "Right now it looks like the jeep either failed to observe the vehicle either slowing for traffic or getting ready to make a turn," Kentucky State Police Trooper Frank Thornberry said.

Michael Lay lives across from the crash site. He says wrecks along that section of Highway-127 are far too common. "I don't think they pay any attention. It's bad. They need some turning lanes bad. It's real bad. There's wrecks here on this road all the time," Lay said.

"We do get several crashes on this roadway because of the volume of traffic, and a lot of them are rear-end accidents where people fail to observe another vehicle either wanting to make a left turn, right turn, or slowing for the vehicle in front of them," Thornberry said.

State Police say although the jeep hit all three other vehicles, its driver walked away essentially unharmed. The driver of the truck pulling the trailer and his two passengers received minor injuries, and Anthony Richardson, none at all.'It didn't feel real good to be honest with you, but at least I'm standing, so we just hope that everybody comes out of it okay," Richardson said.

No one has been charged in the collision, and state police say at this point they don't suspect alcohol or drugs were involved. The crash remains under investigation.
