Fatal traffic on highway 445

My brother-in-law was killed in a terrible traffic accident on Sunday Feb. 18 on highway 445. I live in Florida and would like more information on what happened to him. How do I find police reports? Please help. Need answers!! Did anyone see anything that they can tell me?

How sad for you. I think you should contact the Tangipahoa Parish Sherriffs Dept. in Amite Louisiana. They would have jurisdiction. One of the persons in this wreck has been charged with vehicular homicide, drunk driving. DUI has caused a death in my family. I cannot afford to post my name because of the smallness of the community and the need to remain safe. Ask questions, get answers. Good Luck to you, my prayers are with you.

I live not far from where the accident happened and felt compelled to express my deepest, sincerest sympathy to your family.

In Sunday's crash, a 1999 Chevrolet pick-up truck struck a 2003 Honda CRV head-on on Louisiana Highway 445 north of Robert.



The truck was driven by Stephanie Burns, 30, of Amite. She was headed north on the highway when she entered the southbound lane and struck the CRV head-on, causing the truck to flip over.

The CRV was being driven by James Marque, 47, of Mandeville. He sustained moderate injuries and was transported to St. Tammany Parish Hospital.

However, his passenger, Richard Jones, 54, of Mandeville was killed in the crash.

Burns, who state police said is suspected to have been under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash, received moderate injuries and was transported to North Oaks Hospital in Hammond. Blood was drawn and will be sent to the Louisiana State Crime Lab for analysis.

Her three passengers, Tony Barber, 24, of Franklinton; Timothy Havis, 24, of Independence; and the vehicle's owner, Jessie Warren, 24, of Amite, also sustained moderate injuries and were transported to local hospitals.

Burns has been charged with one count of vehicular homicide, four counts of vehicular injuring, driving while intoxicated and careless operation. She will be booked into the Tangipahoa Parish Jail upon her release for the hospital.

I live in Loranger also on cook rd. I think I herd
about the accident. I do not know the details on what happend to him and what happend. PLease write back to me on wwhat happend so I can watch out for it. I am only 11 years old and I am curious about these things.
