In Teays Valley for Dance there is Dancing Unlimited January's and kelle Boggs...all good don't waste time going to huntingtin or Charleston

For gymnastics there is River Cities in Teays Valley or Revolution in Cross Lanes

All the above are good, unless your kid is training for the Olympics why drive that far

If you want to compare the studios Go to the annual recitals and decide for yourself which place is for you. There is no comparison, one of the studios is far better but Ill not say which one go see for yourself. Friday evening 5/17 and Sunday afternoon 5/19 both at the Municipal in Charleston

The difference is one studio the kids look like hookers with all the makeup and inappropriate dance moves and the other kids don't.

My opinion is both Kelle Boggs and Dancing Unlimited are both great. Your child would be happy at either place

You will find that the one on Friday evening of the 17th is much more entertaining than ANY others around. Their makeup is appropriate for being so far away and on a stage with a lot of bright lights and costumes and moves are all age appropriate. This studio is about developing the childrens self esteem and has proven itself over and over... The teacher is WONDERFUL!

Please help a newbie out here. Would like my kids to learn some skills, but not that type.

Do you have a grandchild that dances here? I see you are from Missouri! What you think about the post about inappropriate moves? This is the second time I heard this response. We go to church twice a week and don't want to teach the girls conflicting messages.

Should I look at classes taught by Dena and not Kelly?

. Dena is the owner ... It is my understanding this was her mothers studio who passed. Dena has grow up in dance as well as her girls. She is a good person and instructor. I know many Christian families whose children attend her studio

It really depends what you are looking for. Kelle Boggs is more of a broadway style dance, but they don't learn a lot of dance basics. Lots of props, risers, etc. but not a huge amount of substantive dance training. Very expensive investments in specific makeup is required and they do many of the same dances year after year.

Dancing Unlimited is more actual dance skills and way less props/risers, etc. Pure dance as opposed to a high value on production and a low value on skills. Dancing Unlimited doesn't have required makeup purchases, etc. Also, there are more dance styles taught at Dancing Unlimited.

Decide what you want in dance training and choose, you can't really go wrong either way. They are very different.
