"The bill ultimately failed after opponents said it was an unnecessary duplication of federal law."

Considering the federal law isn't being enforced, I'd say a state version, that is enforced, is an absolute necessity.

It didn't pass due to the fact our legislators are in the pocket of big business and dairy farms that contribute to their campaigns and hire ILLEGALS!
