Good, Recall the Mayor and all the Commissioners, they should be ashamed of themselves and then look for a new job. Questioning the integrity and honesty of Doug Schmidt, who wants nothing more than to make Huron a great and safe place for all to live.
Shame on the lot of you.
Start looking for a different job because your chances of keeping the Mayor or Commissioner seats are slim to none.
I think Doug Schmidt would be a great choice for Mayor of Huron, what say you, people of Huron. Recall and vote out this collaboration of misfits.

Dear Citizens of Huron, you need to give up the recall of Mayor, David McGirr. Freedom of speech is one thing, but when one blatantly speaks untrue or unsubstantiated comments then one needs to be held accountable for one’s actions. I have known Mayor McGirr for 30 years and he has always been an upstanding citizen. It appears to me from the items I have read that your former Chief of Police was out of line when he spoke before the SD State Legislature and stated illegal people were hired by local companies in Huron. According to my friends, who are in law enforcement, when you are enrolled on day one in law enforcement school training you are instructed to never speak about specifics on any matter while being interviewed by the media. In addition, please tone down your assumption if one’s skin is something other than white, one must be in the country illegally. Diversity is great, can you imagine how boring life would be if we all looked the same, dressed the same and ate the same food. Being introduced to a new culture can be educational and interesting, give it a chance. Mayor McGirr and the City Commissioners have done a great job of revitalizing Huron and oh by the way I am swim suit shopping for my ride on the Master Blaster in the Huron Water Park. Great job on your work Mayor McGirr and Commissioners!

Dakotacatt it's plain you know nothing about the goings on in Huron! The Mayor, commissioners and the head of Greater Huron Development are so far in bed with the turkey plant it's disgusting! They took it upon themselves to earmark $500,000.00 to the turkey plant for a new water tower-no bringing it to the people first! We have roads that are in dire need of repair and other places better suited for spending $500,000.00 of OUR MONEY! PS; 79 illegals deported last year by ICE out of HURON and the majority gave DAKOTA PROVISIONS as their place of employment!I live it everyday- I don't need someone from out of town telling me!

Dubba; those that pay attention are with you! Those that think the turkey plant is good for Huron need to look at other towns that went down this road!A little investigating and they would change their minds! The first thing the turkey does is sign their workers up for FOOD STAMPS that WE PAY FOR !!

The Turkey plant is just the tip of the iceberg. The question is where is all the money going? After all, the plant cost 50 million to build and begin operation. However, there is more money missing than the plant cost! Why was the former governer and present governor in bed with the chairman of the plant? Why have the taxpayers of South Dakota backed loans to this plant? Why haven't any american citizens been allowed to work at the plant? Why doesn't anyone in South Dakota do smoething about these insults to the people of South Dakota?
