What does everyone think of Terry Hall?

I think Terry needs to be more involved in his commuinty. The roads on Elkins Branch, Lesters Fork and Roseann seem to me where the last to be worked. As soon as you hit Grundy district on Elkins Branks and Rock House they were clear, the Supervisers from Grundy made sure their roads were worked Friday night. Why did Knox district have to be the last to get anything? Where was our Superviser then??

What the hell is wrong with all of you?? Let me ask you freaks this or should i refer to you as DEMOCRATICS cause im sure all you are...when your driveways were snowed in and you all couldnt get out who was going house to house helping you clear the out with his own shovel and when you drains were blocked or flooded who came to your house to help clear them himself and out of his own concern cause we all know none of you would ever admit that you needed him to come help you!! Terry Hall never misses a basketball football or any other Hurley game because he cares about your kids!! He is doing the best job that he can and that is a hell of a lot more than anyone else has done and you all know it!!! I mean really do you all just expect stuff to come to you immediately it takes a little time...i would love to see anyone one of YOU even think about trying to do what he is doing...and PEOPLE LIKE YOU dont do anything but make yourself look stupid!!! Because you know im the back of your mind more than anyone that if you ever went to Terry's home and as him for help he would invite you in, stop whatever he was doing to hear whatever you had to say and do his absolute BEST to help satisfy you and find a solution to your problem he would make sure your voice was heard!!! so maybe you should think about some things before you so called adults get on this stupid page and talk a bunch of crap when you all know that Terry Hall is a very good man and rather you voted for him or not he would do ANYTHING to try to help YOU!!!
Well, I'm ashamed to say ,but I voted for Terry, and it was my mistake. He has done nothing for us. All I've heard about is the tunnel at Elk Creek and guess what he hasn't even got it fixed. You said Terry got out and shoveled driveways and cleared drains, you would need to provide some proof of that, like who's driveway and drains did he clear and are they family or close friends, because that don't count. If Terry would have had these ditches cleaned out in the summer they would not have to be cleaned out in a snow storm, if he would have had the weeds and brush cleared away from the roads back in the summer or fall they wouldn't be so much in the roads now. There was never a shelter set up in Hurley for people that had no heat or water, and where in Hurley was any water given out, the only place I heard of was at Riverview, why should people from Hurley have to drive that far to get water. Did Terry go out and check to see if anyone needed water or heat, because if he did I never saw him once or did I hear that he was out checking on the people. People lets face facts we made a mistake voting this man in, and we cannot afford to make the same mistake again. We need someone who knows what they are doing and put us first for once, we need someone who can handle a emergency situation. In my opinion Terry don't have a clue what should be done for us, and I think he should step down and let someone who can do the job. Hurley is the last place to get anything and we need to be first for once, so we need someone who will fight for what Hurley needs and wants......

We were stranded on Rockhouse for about an hour, the state never did not one thing to work the road, they have contracted the work out and it's not being done!

People need to let the state know how they were treated, we had to go about five mile an hour down the Hureley side of Rockhouse Mtn., this was totaly unacceptable.

Terry Hall is not responsible for the State Mantained road, it's the states job to keep the road clear in a situation like this!

I am surprised to see on here that someone actually thought that there was a shelter set up for us. The truth about the shelter is that you could come to the high school and take a shower if you needed to but that was it. The only ones that could stay at the school was the utility workers. There should have been a shelter set up, the high school could have been used for the workers and the middle school should have been opened up the the peop who need a warm place to stay with their families.

They also gave away food at Hurley High School to those who needed it, even if it was only two days, the shelter was at Grundy Baptist Church, it was the officials fault for not getting the word out about the shelter.
That is like our elected officials not to announce anything about it, hoping they could get what was left if they didn't say anything about it!

Well a few things were done for the people of Hurley. Too little and too late. We need a better emergency plan for the county and Hurley.

The people of Hurley need to check out the order of opperation and procedures that should be followed. It is not Mr. Hall fault. It is the people who need to act. Elected officials can only do so much without the people. So open your mouth to the correct officials and attend meetings.

I didn't say that all of Rock House was clear. I said that Grundy side was worked and it was. My nephew was after 12 that Friday night getting home from work. It was still late Sunday night before I saw a truck working Elkins Branch. I also wanted to add that thecon tractors that the county sub out to need to be looked into, there was several truck that were suppost to be working the roads on Roseann that didnt work them. It was told that they would not work it if they could get by with it, and that was on Saturday. The road was never worked until Monday.

The Grundy side was not worked either, I was stuck on the top of Rockhouse Mtn. waiting on the state to come and work it, I had just come up the Grundy side my friend, your nephew must have dreamed that!
I know for a fact they never worked the Grundy side or the Hurley until the wee hours of the morning on Saturday, then it was just up and down one time. Your nephew must have been working the unique truck, which only acomplished getting stuck in a curve on the Hurley side of Rockhouse, as a matter of fact he asked us to call on our cell when we were able to get signal and tell the dispatch to send a wrecker to get him out.
If it hadn't been wide where he was stuck he would have had the whole road blocked.
Thank God for a four wheel drive!

I don't know who is to blame. But the people in THIS COUNTY need to get together and complain and take action. Even if no one listens. We have a vote so use it.
