I think that paddeling should be aloud in school again. I think they should be some rules, I think that teachers should not be aloud to, but the principal should. I think that they should call home and tell us the problem and ask if we want to present or not. What is your opinion?

For your information I do spank my kids when they need it. My kids a very well mannered kids to all of the adults at school. Something needs to be done about all of the kids just doing anything they want at school because they know they won't be punished. They would just love to be suspended so they wouldn't have to go to school, but thats just my opinion.

if you spank a kid at home you go to jail for abuse so i guess we're supposed to raise little hellions and get blamed for what they do......

I think it's up to each parent. I for one don't believe in it. I have never spanked any of my children. They are well behaved and have good manners. If someone at school was to lay a hand on them I'd go to jail for sure. I don't think paddling does a thing to help kids. It's only temporary. They don't learn anything from it. The parents need to take more responsibility for the way their children behave. Teachers are there to teach not help raise your children.

nobody said anything about teachers raising our kids but for a teacher to not be able to do anything but send a kid to the office to be suspended, which is right up most of their alleys. i'm just saying that they need that option in order to keep some of those kids in line. at least the principal needs the option.

I wonder how many people in Hurley would sign a petition to have the principal paddle the kids when they need it? I for one would sign it.

I do not think your kid should be spanked especially since you do not even know how to spell allowed.
You are just another example of a dumb Hurley hick.

maybe so but i also learned to respect my elders and to know that people in authority have the last word. i dont backtalk my parents and i know the difference between right and wrong. do you? i seriously doubt it. i know when i was in school you knew to behave or you would be in real trouble. you didn't get threatened with being sent off. you knew if you didn't respect the teachers and principle there were consequences. it just seems that anymore the buck gets passed.

kids are a model image of the example you set i think if a kid of knowing right and wrong age has nerve to disrespect any adult and something is not done your raising a soon to be troublemaker everychild will test thier limits,if they do wrong in school them show them thats wrong and if you cant let someone else but a child will never be perfect even if they are well mannered to their parents they will try others oh and if taking their I-POD away is the only way to get them to mind their spending too much time on the I-POD

I would rather have a bully for a son or daughter than to have a weak son or daughter who has their I-POD taken from them.

Hey, maybe thats why my kids have so many I-POD's

I dont get your point. My daughter has a lot of things as well, but I do not want that to be the way I displine her. She has to know a I-POD isnt everything. I didnt say anything about being weak or strong.

I-pod leads to I-pad leading to computer and other skills that most of the people in Hurley do not have.
Leave those kids alone!
