I support early childhood education programs that would allow for all 4 yr. olds to attend 1/2 day school programs to help jump start their education. Sort of like the way our Kinder classes use to be.

So, you're a '...used to...' kind of person, huh? Do you remember any 4-yr-olds being in kindergarten for 1/2 days? No. They were 5. Not only do you want a kid OUT of it's home for an extra year so that they might not hear Mom and Dad's teachings, you want and extra 8% tax burden on property owners.

Plus, what's 'jump-start'? Dump the imaginative imagery. You ain't fooling anyone my age. And until you shoot my 2-college-degreed + skilled journeyman's card-holder's arse, guys like me ain't letting you get away with horse-bunk like yours.

Four year olds being raised by the government..... sorry folks but four year olds do not belong in school. If you want to ''jump start'' their education allow them to play, take naps and be with mom and dad as much as possible. A DAY CARE where they are just children is way better for parents who have to work and cannot stay home a few years until their children are in school. Why is the government so bent on pushing family away from each other?

I think the State would better serve the people if they balanced their check book that they have not balanced since 2005.. lead by example , don't spend money you don't have and don't create a bigger tax burden for the regular folks. The government has no business taking on four year olds.

Senator Smith is getting very old and is looking for anything that might help get him re-elected.
The best early education is for a child to be home with their Mom and Dad, who are much better at letting their children just be kids. Teach them English at home so they can achieve great things in this country. Moms and Dads need to take on the responsibilities for their children and not the taxpayers. We already feed, house, give medical care to those parents for free. We don't need to be adding anymore. No to early education. Just a way for a few local businesses to steal from the taxpayers again.
