I 'd seen notices in advance about the meeting of the Deming MainStreet Project on March 14, but on the day of the event I had to ask at City Hall where it was being held.

What about the City, County and MainStreet working on adding more curb appeal and landscapping to areas like Mimbres Valley Learning Center and Starmax. I have noticed that some businesses have added crushed rock and desert plants to their landscapping and done away with the grass. They look very nice. The current murals by the Moose Lodge, old Suncrest building, and DAC could use a touch up also. Maybe more facades and renovations on downtown buildings could be done. I think a more attractive town would make tourists want to stop and check out the area.

Tourists have no way to park in the down town area. The parking behind the mayors church and DAC are not able to be used for the public. The DAC gets very upset and rude to people if they park in the public parking lot.
